Wait! What about Tim Walz? I'm Canadian, so I don't know any of the candidates. However, Tim Walz has made several appearances on MSNBC since Sunday, and I felt he was a great pick!

"We're not moving the Country left or right. We are moving forward and bringing everyone with us" Governor Andy Beshear
  • @liamdamon
Shapiro won Pennsylvania against the extremely disliked Mastriano. He's not as popular as Kelly or Beshear in national politics.

Being a European, Pete Buttigieg to me has ALL a POTUS should have... intelligence, education, eloquence.... and he is very, very much statesman-alike, which appeals to us Europeans and has the looks. So, IMHO he would be a good VP.
  • @cmmclemore
Tim Walz is the man. Backed by Labor and he has the communication skills to bring the "common man" back to Democrats. He's been a great governor who gets things done.
  • @oklol7799
Tim Walz would be the best pick! He’s the best governor in the country and would easily bring in rural voters, young voters, independents, has been obliterating Republicans easily, and is a very humble man.
  • @alohadave13
I'm very disappointed that Gov. Tim Walz isn't on the "short list." He's the real deal, mid-western, from a small town, a strong proponent of workers' rights. IMO
  • I think Mark Kelly would be the perfect balance for the ticket - moderate white dude, border and immigration expert, popular with Latinos, could bring a swing state, military, gun owner who advocates for sensible gun control. And a freaking ASTRONAUT. That said, Shapiro is definitely an excellent option as well.
  • Astronaut Mark Kelly!! He's amazing. He has a full professional history that totally supports being VP, Navy Captain that flew combat missions during the Gulf War, recruited by NASA as Astronaut, flew many space missions, 1st Democrat to win Senate seat in AZ, his Congresswoman wife almost died from an assassination attempt, so they founded a non-profit Responsible Gun Owner Control foundation. He'll be a great VP.
  • It's between either Tim Walz or Josh Shapiro, I think Tim Walz is the best option, but I wouldn't be mad if she picked Josh Shapiro because he's good too.
  • The men that Kamala is thinking of choosing are all great men of integrity. I believe Josh Shapiro will be chosen. He is a good Governor who hails from Pennsylvania, a huge State with 20 electors. He is the logical choice. Tim Walz comes to mind too. Good luck to Kamala in choosing her VP.

I think Tim Walz would be a great choice to bring the deep rusk belt states suburban voters to the polls. I think Governor Shapiro can win his state without being on the vp ticket
  • I'm a childless dog lady here voting blue 💙 with the childless cat ladies, meow.
  • @user-xv6jd3lw6i
As much as I’d like the pick to be Kelly, Harris’s path to 270 can survive without AZ but not without PA. Shapiro could potentially maintain the blue wall as well as sway votes in the sunbelt. Kelly is a great choice but solidifying the blue wall must be the end game to winning this one, which makes Shapiro the sounder choice.
  • @YourDadYoda
While Shapiro is a good talker and popular in Pennsylvania, I think Kelly would bring so much to her campaign as a whole. All of the contenders are good though.
  • She has a lot of really great options. They all have great benefits, in different ways. They all will be solid supporters for Madam President.
