In N Oit you can order whole raw onions and you can ask them to but it on the pattie or on the veggies! On the pattie, a raw onion will get the residual heat for the pattie and sorta cook a little. Obviously, a raw onion on the veggies will stay cold. It does make a difference in taste of the burger!

I was introduced to Matt’s Chili Dogs way back in the day, want to say early 2000’s when they had a location in Bellevue on 110th ave ne, I loved it. Wish there were more hot dog joints. Btw, love your channel, found it a few weeks ago. Fun seeing teriyaki places I used to go to, and finding new ones the rare occasion I make it up to Seattle.

I love Midwest chili dogs. Going to a drive up chili dog place as a kid was my favorite.

One of my favorite restaurants, they have a really great Chicago Style Dog. Their fries are also really great.

I've never been to Seattle and goodness knows how long it'll be before I DO finally make it that way, but this still feels really cozy. This series and channel was a good call, Kenji. Thanks for deciding to go this route and sharing! Can't wait to have a list a mile long of everywhere to go grab a bite. Haha.

I haven't been to Matt's but the best chili dogs ever are at Pinks in Hollywood. The place opened in 1939. Next time you're in LA, try to wander by there. I'd be interested in what you think.

been there, txs for explaining the difference on the casing makes it more enjoyable when you understand issues like that...glad you got the burger, looks almost like "BurgerMaster" with a real slice of onion, will get one next time
