I absolutely love this Baked Chicken Recipe, it is so easy and quick to put together. You hardly need a recipe because you can combine your favorite spices or marinades. I love preparing my own seasonings, and this combination is just perfect. I chose chicken thighs and drumsticks, but you can use a mix of wings, thighs and drumsticks or stick to the ones you like the most. One good thing about this baked chicken is you can prepare as much as you want because it makes perfect leftovers. I always use butter before seasoning, because I think it adds a delicious flavor and some good color, but you can also use olive oil if you like. This baked chicken will be delicious with your favorite side and you can change it around too, I guess it’s why I prepare it often. I hope you give it a try.❤️

INGREDIENTS----------------------------------------
400° Degrees 40-45 minutes
4 Chicken thighs (bone in with skin)
3 Chicken drumsticks (with skin)
1 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp Onion powder
2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper (optional)
1 1/2 tsp Lemon pepper
1/4 tsp Ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp Light brown sugar
1 tsp dried Thyme leaves
1-2 Tbsp melted butter
Salt to your liking

    Rachel I found you at 87 I still live a lone, was married 66 years, raised 3 children, I love to cook just plain farm cooking but apple pies were my specialty. Rachel I could watch you for hours, you are such a good teacher, you have taught me SO much. I love your aprons. Also love you teaching us how to clean pot and pans. Wish I had found you years ago. You have such talent.

    I just found your channel. At 77, I have raised 3 children and done a fare amount of cooking—and I know a good recipe when I see one!!! Also, The process and how careful one is to get the seasonings right and just all around good practices make your videos so entertaining and useful. My husband has had dementia for 10 years so we’ve lived in assisted living and he’s now in a nursing facility. On my own with my cook books all packed away—your recipes are so much like I’ve always cooked with your amazing ingredients I haven’t used. After two videos. You have me hooked! Bravo!

  • So good and butter makes everything better. Before roasting my turkey also gets a good coating of butter, sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper. Crisp skin and very juicy. Butter and the flour make a coating and keeps moisture in. I am 89 so have cooked a lot, plus I taught cooking for 8 years. Love this show, my favorite.

    Rachel, my dear, I love your videos. You are lovely to look at and your kitchen habits are so clean and noteworthy. You are one of the few cooks who realizes how important it is to not only wash your hands but you put on gloves when you put your fingers in the food; this is something that all cooks should do. When I see a cook put their bear fingers in the food, swishing the foods that are already kind of soggy anyway, it just seems so unsanitary to me. Thank you for the delicious meals you prepare.
