  • It's a Jimi Hendrix song no pressure on the guitarists LOL. Great job everyone

That opening Hendrix riff, she was almost spot on...wtg young lady. They are wayyyy into this music. And the young lady singing is damn good. Great Bluesy rock voice. She has some mad guitar skills
  • The devil is in the details... like how the guitarist nailed the low E on the beginning riff. It's slightly sharp momentarily because of how much energy is being picked into the string. Whether it is a mix of string gauge and picking strength or just picking strength I can't say. But whatever it is, it was done CORRECTLY. And that, my friends, is how you play an open string with conviction.

Jimi and Stevie just looking down from up above with big smiles! Well done!!
  • @Sternodox
That drummer's ability to 'slip' the beat is phenomenal.

Oh my god, I was SO relieved to find out that Jimi Hendrix is still ALIVE and doing post-doctoral performances at the School of Rock!!! Lead guitar was perfect! Drums nailed the beat and mood. Bass had me tripping fingers over my beer can! Other guitar could have just played his track and gone home, but NO! He made an attempt to outshine the lead, kind of like the little girl in Sound of Music won over the castle crowd. Now the vocal lead. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much in the way of thunderous applause when she finished. I admit that studios aren't known for this, but jeez, she deserved it. Mixing and editing were solid (work those boards, my dudes). Overall, I give this a C+. I AM KIDDING!!! Solid "A".
  • Old song played by New Generation exceptionally well done

As always a huge thanks to the parents that support their children's music journey. In these days of crazy everything it's time and money well spent.

You can tell that these young folks are really feeling the music, it comes alive through them! Much love & respect, Thank you.
  • @JawTooth
Man they are good!! I wish they had this school when I was young.
  • @MrDjinxbass
Nice and tight. Props to the vocals and guitar work! It's one of the all-time great songs!

Mitch Mitchell's playing is so deceptive. He makes it sound so smooth and effortless, yet it's surprisingly hard to get the groove just right. Bravo Amanda, stellar playing 🤘🏻
  • @izique
The lead guitar is ON FIRE!!!! I have absolutely no words, just amazing!! Mr. Hendrix would be indeed very happy with this cover! Cheers from Brazil!
  • Bass players are the unsung heros of music. I here a lot of Tommy Shannon in this

A song like this is all about the emotion. It's OK to play the right notes or sing the right words, but to get it "right," you have to FEEL the music. Jimi Hendrix was all about the feels with everything he did. I played with a guy who was obsessed with getting Purple Haze "right." He was never satisfied with what we did. I couldn't get him to understand that we were gold as long as we felt the music. He never did, which is probably why we don't play together any more. These kids did it right. Their playing was a little sloppy, but for a song like this, that's better than doing it perfectly. In other words, when you play Hendrix, less-than-perfect is exactly what the music needs. I think these kids understand what Jimi was all about, and if he had lived to hear them, he would have approved!!!

I remember listening to Jimi on 8 track tape in my car back in the day and these teenagers capture that same raw sound, pure genius to all these teens!
  • An excellent performance that is even more impressive given the age of the performers. Jimi and the only person/group that did justice to this song as a cover (and my favorite version) Stevie Ray Vaughan would be proud. Every performer nailed their performance to sound that good! Props to the young lady playing guitar.
  • @Vetriot6971
Jimi himself would be impressed by this performance particularly by that guitar player who did fantastic covering one of the greatest guitar players if not the greatest 👍 RIP JH 🙏
  • @chriscarr6392
Awesome! The bass player is already grooving before he even starts playing. The guitar, drums...the voice is amazing. Keep rocking!!! Thanks!
