In Marvel's Avengers Endgame we learned that Captain America is worthy of Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. That is a BIG revelation and it made me wonder - who else is worthy? The scene in Age of Ultron made it seem like no one else was worthy but I believe that over the course of the last few film, that answer is no longer correct. Who is worthy? Time to find out!

I think a big thing to consider would be Thanos’ elimination of the dwarves (minus Dinklage). In that moment I would argue he strayed from his goal of “half the population without prejudice” and pursued violence instead. Thoughts?

I thought Scott lang would be an obvious choice He has made sacrifices,He doesn't resort to violence first. He's perfect.

13:18, however by taking on that burden, he chose to do so because of his concern for his friend's lives. His exposure to gamma radiation made him feel confident that he would better endure the damage caused by the gauntlet, and he was indeed correct, as we later see with Stark.
  • I think the only reason Bruce can't lift the hammer is because his soul is intertwined with the Hulk. Also, he wasn't being arrogant, he was just positive that the gamma radiation that Bruce/Hulk is made of would be able to fight off the power of the stones.

Yeah, it was real selfless when he replaced Nebula's body parts with machinery against her will.

"It's like I was made for this." Seemed more like a line Banner-Hulk was telling himself to psyche up. He wasn't really thinking that he would get out of the snap without a scratch. I think that was an attempt at sacrifice.

Coming back to this and realizing in the clip where Cap tried to lift the hammer you can see that he does let go of the hammer as it budges. That way he doesn’t pick it up and it looks like he is just getting a different grip on the hammer

There’s actually a moment during the final fight where mjolnir was flying around and thanos tries to grab it but mjolnir avoids thanos’s hand

Groot is definitely worthy by these criteria, he sacrificed himself in the first guardians of the Galaxy movie and sacrificed his arm for Stormbreaker. And he is obviously not seeking violence.
