Finally have a respectable 6"-9" of dry snow. The 5hp L motor sounds great under load and the Snow Cannon is very efficient for the power it uses from the tractor.

don't forget to mention you have the gear reduction wheels installed.

We had a 1947 model L with a dog eater blower attachment …God that thing was fun to use in a snowstorm…especially the blizzard of 78
  • Thing of beauty. Actually I'm very impressed by how much distance you get from that low RPM. Governor helps a lot. So many videos on here the guys just wind them out as fast as they'll go...they forget there's no torque at the top end. I just rebuilt my 1960 LS with the snow cannon this summer, excited for a real snow here in Maine to try it out.

My MA210 has been sitting in the shed waiting for snow for 4 years.

.... Ooohhh .... do I know that sound .... a Gravely will throw snow ....
  • -- Just ordered a Husqvarna ST224 24-Inch 208cc Two Stage blower. First new blower I've ever bought, and I'm 44. Been getting away with DIY repairs on older units for years. But this year the PTO on my tractor busted, and I only have a couple single stage two-strokes in reserve. That's not going to do it 500 feet from Lake Michigan. Hoping to get similar performance as yourself. And that motor you have sounds great. Is that a Wheelhorse?

I picked up a snow blower head of that same design without the crank handle. I will probably use an old screw jack handle from an old car.
