I find my solace in the
Cold foggy days of winter.
I hold my breath and wait for
Everyone to disappear
Deep in my shallow headspace.
I lift my head 'bove water.
And lead my heart to slaughter
Time and Time again and hear…
The sound
Of rain gently falling in the
Roof, and now

It's just you and I
And we
Can hold each other closer and the
Rain will keep
On pouring, pouring down…

I watch you sleep beside me
Your peaceful face reminding
I watch you tearfully
This won't be the last time
My hand drops limp beside me
I beg you to hold me tightly
This sleep refuses to find me
My heart follows and is blind

To all, I know
and maybe I won't break

Away, and this will be
