How To Use Korean Subway Lockers

Published 2014-03-16
When traveling around in Korea, sometimes you collect a lot of stuff. Or perhaps it's raining and you're carrying coats and umbrellas. Fact is, that stuff weighs you down, so why not dump them if going shopping, eating, or somewhere else? That's what today's video is all about. At many subway stations (and bus/train stations) you'll find these banks of lockers. Using the interface is pretty intuitive, despite only being available in Korean. In today's I'll show you how to secure a locker.

These worked out well when I went to Busan for a weekend trip and we had already checked out of our hotel but wanted to spend more time at the beach and who wants to bring all their stuff to the beach?ย  Perfect.

Cool video! I'll be visiting Seoul in October 2018 and this is really helpful!

Thanks for the awesome video! Very, very helpful and informative. I completely forgot how to navigate my way around after almost 8 years away... Your voice was very reassuring and made me feel like everything in my miserable life was going to be A-OK! ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks for this! I will likely store my suitcase in one on my last day when visiting Seoul - I have half a day between checking out of my hotel and going to the airport. Are these located in most stations or only a few?

HI Steve. This is a great video for people who do not know Korean language. By the way, Please kindly advise if the large lockers can hold up a 28 inch luggage? and may i know if all stations have these kinds of lockers?

This is good. Are they available at all the subway stations. So, what happens when you want to remove your stuff from the locker?

Nice, just like the ones I use in Japan although the prices are definitely better in Korea. I usually use the ones in Akihabara when I've bought a lot of stuff or in the Ueno train station just before I head back to the states. A lot of the ones in Japan don't have the computer but rather have a key left in the door and you have to use coins to pay. They have those in Korea too?
