Metal Detecting With PREDATOR Encounter, Eggs and Medieval Relics!

Published 2024-01-19
This relic hunt had it all! Roman and Medieval finds, silver, a deep “treasure” signal, hills and landscapes, you name it. I even found an egg, I tired to rescue at home, sadly with no luck.
One of the medieval artefacts was gold plated and had some design. It was difficult to clean, as the patina underneath the layer of soil was almost like powder. The second medieval find was a small strap fitting with one element made of silver.
The third very interesting item was a small buckle with two loops. Was it a system to carry, or support a sword? Who knows… For some strange reason it was made of lead, which could be rare as usually items like that are made of other metals.

Talking about “strange”. What are your thoughts on the “sunbeams” projected into the tree? Those were definitely not my reflections! Who or what was causing it? It looked like an improved version of the laser from the classic 1987 “Predator” movie. I’ve seen many things, but this was pretty weird. Camouflaged Aliens in the woods? I think, I will have to re-visit this area.

Apropos revisiting… I also found a deep, big “treasure” signal. Someday I will come back for it with my shovel one day! :)

I hope you enjoyed this outing.
Thanks for watching.

if some only knew how your back and legs feel after a day of hunting that terrain.. good job brother
  • I think what appeared on the screen was feathers floating down. Probably a hawk in the tree eating a dove. Nice spooky place. Thanks.

Living in Arizona, I have had two real predator encounters while detecting. Once I forgot my gloves and turned around to go to my ATV and a bear was circling it. We just stood there looking at each other for a few minutes before it lost interest and walked off. Another time I took a lunch break sitting on my ATV and out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was a golden retriever dog watching me. I instantly thought how weird someone lost there dog and then realized it was a mountain lion sitting between two trees watching me. I grabbed a few pictures before it left. Since then I never use my ear phones while detecting in the wild so I can be more aware of something walking up on me. I know you were kidding, but I thought I would share.

4:32 As it is apparently autumn I think Perhaps a squirrel or bird moved a branch and caused a few leaves to drop.

First item may have been the top of an oil lamp with a round wick

,belle immagini come sempre, complimenti. Un saluto dal Friuli Venezia Giulia e buona ricerca nella storia. doriano. P.S. forse PREDATOR ha una tecnologia più avanzata della nostra per la ricerca di reperti....🥱
  • It reminds me of the end of the film Ghost as he's walking to heaven. I did hear a footstep and a branch snap but you were perfectly still. My headphones were turned up fullblast. What did you think at that time?
