Rachel Maddow uses examples from Dr. Anthony Fauci's new book and the fact that Trump Republicans are still busy trying to persecute Fauci despite his heroic role in navigating deadly pandemics to illustrate the authoritarian bent of the Republican Party in the Trump era that cannot accept a voice of authority or expertise that outshines their leader.

When it comes to your health, why would you trust any politician over a medical doctor?

My mom was a PBX operator at a hospital. She received calls from people who wanted to know if swallowing bleach was ok. The ER received several patients who became ill from actually swallowing bleach. It's amazing to me that the same types of folks refused common sense solutions like social distancing, wearing masks, and getting the vaccine.

Donald’s antagonism towards Dr Fauci was part of the major reason I voted in 2020 for the first time in my life. For that same major reason I will vote this year as well, as I do not want Donald in charge once again if we run into another crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic

  • My Sister dued of COVID. How can MTG say that it was a Hoax? She doesn't deserve to be reresenting anybody with a common sense.

I have often wondered why he who must not be named was not held accountable for the people who died drinking bleach. Isn't that second-degree murder? Asking for a friend.
