  • I like how the brother isn’t malicious towards his sister, and how she isn’t oblivious to his suffering
  • Somtimes you just cant get that one person to love you and have to focus on the people who are actually there for you.
  • @r-y-n-n
I really like how the dad didn’t change his attitude towards the son, and how he got 2nd place instead of the typical first place, this is much more realistic then the other favourite child stories.
  • I'm so proud of the boy for not resenting his sister, good show 👏👏👏👏
  • Love how supportive his sister is. When she was introduced I thought she was gonna be really rude but I was pleasantly surprised.
  • i really like that at the end, the dad didn’t immediately realize his negligence or change who he is, because that’s just reality. that one fight didn’t magically solve all of his problems, but it did make him feel better about himself.
  • The golden child is supportive and caring towards the neglected child The “lesser” child doesn’t magically win first place The father isn’t super proud of him out nowhere and his life doesn’t magically become perfect. This is the most realistic and perfect example of the “Golden Child” story troupe.

The sibling’s relationship honestly gives if zuko and Azula had a healthy relationship and if azula was mentally stable
  • This hit hard. I'm nearly 2 years older than my sister. Everything I did I had to work hard for. She did everything with a breeze. Even with my 2 extra years she was nearly as fast as me in running and swimming. Karate the same. She learned the movements much faster. She learned to walk, to speak, to read, etc. all faster. When we got older. I talked to her about it. She answered: I learned everything so fast, because I imitated you.
  • I love how the sister has a strong, supportive bond with her brother, despite having more awards than him. Also, the brother's performance was amazing, from the excellent choreography and lighting, to the bright colors and effects.
  • @mittensky
this is actually so realistic. the favorite child isnt bratty and rude and is very supportive and kind, and at the end of the film the father still is neglecting the son because thats just how he is.
  • I love how the sister was so supportive of him, and the random parents at the part when he's leaving the stage showed more emotion towards someone they don't know/only know because of being their child's friend. it goes to show just that the siblings are there for you no matter what, and the support of your community is just as strong.
  • I love how this film revolves around the boy finding his self worth without relying on the validation of parents or awards. He discovered his true happiness from doing what he was passionate for, regardless the award he won.
  • @GMPranav
These siblings aren't raised by their parents, they are raised by each other.
  • Live as a first born well said. We’re never loved, not even seen. What happened in my childhood is so different to what my younger siblings experienced. Recently my sister said me to be grateful for our parents. I said that she can be grateful, but I’ve nothing to feel gratitude for at all.
  • @ArtlyssaG
I love how they still have a good relationship and she doesn’t feel guilty nor does the brother make her feel guilty about her skill. I always like it when people understand that the struggle in the story doesn’t need a malicious rivalry to be good.
  • It’s nice to finally see a ‘favorite child vs neglected child’ story that doesn’t portray the favorite child as oblivious or egocentric. I’m glad the sister was shown as supportive of her brother and is aware of his problems.
  • @mytu7933
I like that his medal is a second, not a first like many other films/ short films. To me, I think it means that you don't need to be first place to be proud.
  • I'm proud of my first born and my second born. They are both gifted in very special ways and give their talents to the world with a generous spirit. As a mother, I couldn't ask for more. Thanks to the creators and animators of this short film. It's beautiful. I loved it. It touched my heart. I thank you for that. God bless you. 💐🙏🏽💞
