It's rare to find a speaker that can really capture the hearts of his audience. His sincerity, passion, and intelligence really moved and inspired me today

Instead of teaching students; you should teach teachers around the world to have bigger impact in people’s lives

I think most people don't think outside the box because they think that somehow the solution is magically waiting to found in the same dimension where the problem is presented, when in fact actually thinking outside the box is about understanding that certain solutions are not possible unless you change the dimension in which you are operating. Thinking outside the box is about changing how we think when we are thinking. It's about maintaining a balance between truly understanding what the limitations are while seeking what is possible without falling into fantastical abstractions away from reality.

That's true! When I was in university of science my best mark was at math. Not because I was excellent but because since the beginning of the semester I spent from 10min to 30 min every single day solving problems. When the final exams came (even I was going through a breakup) I got on the exam the best mark of 3 years of university of all subjects ! I learned that Consistency is the key and that good results come only if you spend hours of work and dedication to your craft. Pretty much like anything in Life.🙏
  • What a great analogy. To teach kids and then they never have to have those classes again. This needs to be in our educational system because the educational system has really dropped the ball. He is a wonderful speaker that gets his message across. I listened to the whole video twice. I believe what he says is true what a great teacher! Congratulations on your great effort! I applaud you! 🎉🎉🎉

When he says “if a person knows a lot but is not friendly…” ❤ I feel seen. This is Huge in math/science world. Especially if they are teaching beginners or re-learners.

I'm thinking to put some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and i overheard some friends saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?
  • I love how passionate he is. His model is something that we look at in public health strategy mixed with game theory.

Major takeaways for me, also an educator and mother: 1. Equipping and empowering people to take off as soon as possible on their own (critical thinking). 2. Truly immersing oneself in “other” types of lives (empathy). 3. Focusing on being thoughtful and employing one’s artistry and academia more in the bigger picture (mindfulness). 4. Allowing for truly thinking outside of the box; on and off the page, see first example in video (mindset.) 5. Going into various disciplines, and using the juncture to improve on all sides; drama example for math teacher (authenticity). This video actually is a sort of rundown on a lot of terms we’ve been scrambling over the last 10 years, but put into context they are just more approachable. Thank you, I think this can really help a lot of people fill the slogans they encounter on a daily basis with real life! And meaning!

What an excellent approach to education! Where I live the education system is based on memorizing things, close the book and ask them to explain what they have just learned, ask them to connect with another subject or create some new idea out of that information and they literally can't. It's like people developed a fear to think. Everyone just focused on passing the exams. We need more people like him to make an awareness everywhere in the world.

Loh is not training students in math but inspiring students to find math from their hearts.
