I still don’t understand why they put the new tanks so near where a starship could fall on them.

I'm not a rocket scientist or engineer but even I know you don't store fuel next to a raging inferno.

The first time I saw the layout of SpaceX's Launchpad I knew those tanks were too close. I still think they need to build a separate isolated landing tower versus having the OLM in danger of major damage if Starship were to crash. A crash at the OLM stops all launches irregardless of whether they planned on landing the booster, a crash at a landing tower would still give them the option of launches.

Everyone always was a little concerned (in their gut at least), at how close all that stuff was to these test rockets!🚀 💥 and we’ve had a few starships go boom already!!

Thats what I said about putting this tank farm so close to his launch pad and once Elon starts catching rockets he should build just a catch tower away from all his expensive fueling equipment and tank farm.

Bullet tanks is also not good idea. The cold and warm cause a scratch and leak. They will return to vertical, but this time buried 78 percent underground.

Why didn't they just put a protective housing around the tanks? Like a warehouse or something with fire resistant coatings...

I feel like someone could have told them that their tanks would be in a dangerous place being next to prototype rockets

Why didn't they build a super cheap heat shield deflecting the hot air from the tanks in the first place?

Who would have thonk? I know, it could be budgetary, testing, Scale creep, or just Land limitation. But its been 3 orbital launch test. Not counting many static fires. Everybody has been saying this since the begining.
