How The Boys Season 4 Proved Everyone Wrong.

Lots of complaints about this season so far, but after the finale, I hope everyone realizes that the scenes building up our characters and assisting in transforming them aided in making this finale just as amazing as it was! I mean I could not breathe for the better part of the hour, and every scene had at least one moment leaving my mouth agape. I won't spoil anything, obviously, in case you haven't seen it, but...wow. Wow wow wow.

I really hope I don't come off as rude toward y'all and your opinions. Like I said mulitple times in the video, they are valid. The show has changed, as all television shows do, over time. I still think the commentary is as bitting and cutting-edge as ever, and although it's more obvious, I don't think the writing has taken any sort of hit in quality.

But I hope you enjoyed this video...tried to get it up as fast as possible but it ended up being rather long...whoops. I tried.

  • The boys fans are gonna loose their minds when they realize the majority of shows are mostly people having conversations
  • I agree that people gave up on this season too quickly. I had my issues with the show, but I think it was solid overall. My main gripe is that Colin was never fleshed out, so he just felt like a character who existed just to demonstrate that Frenchie is a monster. At least with Kimiko’s storyline, we cared a bit about the girl who came after her.

Dude. Genuinely if they didn't trick Ryan into being trapped in a chamber he probably wouldve listened to them given a little time. Grace literally ruined everything

My biggest criticism is this whole back and forth with the group dynamic: “I’m out of the group. Okay I’m back in but you can’t be in the group. Okay you’re back in the group but you can’t lead. Okay I don’t want to lead you can lead again. Nvm I’m out of the group. You left the group? Okay I’m back in the group.”
  • The only real problem I have with the season is that it does sometimes feel like part 1 of a 2 part finale, but I had a ton of fun this season and can’t wait for Season 5
  • @HorseJoint
The Finale was fucking DOPE. I’m very excited for the Last season. I don’t care how “Butcher” turns out, but I’m in his Corner next Season.

When Kimiko screamed, I glossed over it. I heard it but I missed it. It wasn't until Frenchy was stepping into the van I said to myself "Wait, did Kimiko just speak". I went back 20 seconds, fully appreciated the scream and shed a single tear. Was a great scene.
  • @Athesies
Damn ryan broke my heart in this season
  • I liked this season, but Hughie’s dad dying, him getting SAd in a dungeon right after, and then being SAd again by a doppelgänger of his girl was just kinda weird and played for a laugh
  • You didnt bring up the biggest issue which was the representation of hughie being SA'd and it being glossed over twice
  • My main thing I didn't like was how they handled Tek Knight. They drew out the sex dungeon scene too long and we didn't get to see Tek Knight's armor or technology. In Gen V it's implied he had super strength yet is held by restraints and easily killed.
  • No body could predict the story. At all. Nobody predicted sage stealing the screen. Nobody predicted that this was a loosing battle. Nobody predicted butcher having a sentient venom tumor. This season broke the hero's they are pretty much thinking they are better off dead than deal with this mess and the plot Armor is rightfully so especially when you are compounding their PTSD. MM almost died. Frenchy almost gave up. Starlight was publically humiliated and is currently hated by everyone because of propaganda. Kimiko finally can talk that's good. And hughie he was sexually assaulted right after killing his dad and he was lated manipulated into marrying a fake starlight. And worst of all butcher dude gave in to the dark side and is not just a shell of his former self. The supes were never gonna kill them they were played like fiddle by these supes.
  • A little bit disappointed that Hughie being raped 20 times by the shapeshifter was glossed over.
  • Kimiko letting her first words out in ages with it being a scream of agony broke my heart so much. I know the gang don't really get a happy ending in the comics but I really want Kimiko and Frenchie to live and stay together now.
  • This season really showed who’s a fan of good television and story , and who just likes clips and fast action
  • I never lost my faith in this Season and this turned out better than I expected it to be with Major Twist and Turns.I never thought I would have to question what’s going to happen next since Season 4 of Stranger Things and just look after the Aftermath, Zoe in on Red River, the Godokin Kids are locked somewhere, Butcher will Perfect the Disease, the Boys are Taken Away by Homie’s Literal and Metaphorical A-holes, Homelander has more Power and Soldier Boy his his Hands, Ryan is going to the Motions, Sage and Kessler Won, and Starlight is out there searching for help, I don’t even know where to begin with the Material the Showrunners are Cooking now we must let Nature take its course ask, what would Gen V Season 2 would bring to us in the Table on the Finale?
  • Nah, Hugie hot hoed in every episode, dude has been taking hits the whole shoe, give him a win. Now he's being yelled at by Annie for stuff that wasn't even his fault. I feel like Frenchie falling so far back into the "I'm a bad person" conflict, like we got that with lamp lighter and the scene with Nina. The rest of the season is pretty good but there's overall something about the season that just feels lesser to the rest of the show. The finale was pretty good though
  • @yadisdis4207
Shouldn't Neumans' daughter be with Samir? Unless he's not her biological parent but from that faux adoption scene with Hughie in S1, it seems the Super orphanages would be willing to shove off any child unto a couple.
  • Are we going to gloss over the fact that Starlight goes through a journey, is confronted by evil Annie, and then literally moments later doubles down on her stupid victim complex by blaming Hughie for being raped, after just having been raped an episode or two ago. It's not even as if they did it on purpose and had it be a big moment where she realizes and confronts that part of her. She's just genuinely a shitty person who only cares about herself and how things that happen to others affect her.
  • I think this season ended better than it began, but I still can’t excuse the writing staff for framing sexual assault and rape through a comedic lens. Using really personal and emotional issues as a moment to try and get some laughs is just so so disgusting to me.
