Whoever wrote the first book created some kind of radioactive bird that could survive anything
  • I just love the tip about "is your bird on the brink of death? Try cutting it's toe off and dunk it in cold water"😂
  • These books show just how far we have come in improving parrot care standards!
  • The funny thing is, people still use some of this stuff. I know people say we've come a long way, but we also have a much longer way to go too!
  • Omg I’m so glad to see you back on the platform!!! You are the reason I got a bird. He is a cockatiel. Thanks for all of the helpful info for bird owners that you have on your channel. ❤
  • Even though the care in most of the books wasn’t ideal, I did appreciate that one of authors didn’t agree with wing clipping!
  • Hi Elle, Those books wandered the whole path from ignorant to outright scary. Imagine an "expert" basically recommendiy waterboarding a Cockatiel to break a biting habit!😮😮😞😭😭

I haven’t watched you in a while but I have my bird now! He’s a green budgie and I named him coconut❤ I love your videos!!
  • my dad told me that humans can get some bird colds and we can catch them too- he also taught me to care for my first parrot a tiny bit forcfully for my parrot with the wrong diet etc, the way he did when he was a kid. I did try to do it right though and she loved me nonetheless. if I ever get another parrot, I’ll be sure to care for them properly, I started researching about parrots and birds since 8 months before my cockatiel flame’s death, I still learn as much as I can to this day. Thanks for the videos that give me more ideas to research deeper into! Good job, Elle. x
  • I haven’t seen you in forever because of school but it’s the weekend so I can now >:)
  • I am sorry, I haven’t been watching your videos a whole lot, I had no idea that Thistle passed, I am sooooo sorry for your loss 💔💔💔😭😭😭

This video was very interesting and informative! Loved it ! Great job on this! Loved that you repeated the time line reminding people this is not healthy I think some owners think this is still the way and you helped clarifying it, thank you
  • This was very interesting and some of it was actually shocking! I agree that we have come so far and continuing to learn is the best way forward for our beloved birds!

I absolutely love your videos. I am going to adopt a cockatiel from a rescue, her name is Shania and she was found it a city close to where I live getting eaten by crows but some one found her and called the rescue which took her to the hospital and saved her life. My mom was volunteering at the rescue so I came with her and I was cleaning the small bird room when I see a little cockatiel running back and forth in its cage chirping for me so I took her out and I instantly knew she was the bird that I need need to adopt. When I came home that day I started doing research and that’s when I saw your channel and I can’t tell you enough how much you helped me with learning all about what birds need and the food and the flight cages and all the safety precautions so I got everything that you had for ducky and made all of the toys and I made 10 natural perches so when I adopt Shania in a week she will be the happiness bird alive😊😊THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL O& YOUR AMAZING CONTENT ❤❤❤ Be for I found your channel I was a 13 year old that was clue less about birds, but now I’m 100000000x more smarter about birds. My parents have always had birds and we have a African grey now but I’m just so happy that I found your channel because now I’m comfortable having my own bird and giving that bird the best life a bird could have ❤️❤️

  • @Rowlet72.2
The books in the video just prove how much we humans have improved in taking care of birds and how much we have really explored their true meaning!
  • I WAS WAITING FOR A VIDEO FOR SOOO LONG!!! Thank you for spending your time to make a video for us❤ Also I love how you did your makeup) Hope you have a great, great day!!
