  • I grow mine in a 17.5 gallon container as I live in north central Florida-zone 9a. I bring it into the back screen porch in the winter and it does great. I prune mine as well so that it doesn't get taller than 8 feet. This way it becomes a very full bush and I have seen a dramatic increase in fruit yield as well. A quick side note, they are a very hearty feeder...I feed mine as much as I feed my banana trees. Also, I really enjoy your channel and content!!! Great work!!!!
  • I planted two of these trees in October of 2021 for my two grandchildren. They have grown really fast. I’ve already trimmed them once. The fruit ripens really fast. It’s definitely a fun tree to have. Very productive trees. Highly recommend to add to one’s collection.
  • Hi, I live in Vero Beach Florida and I love your channel. My husband and I have an acre and a half and we just cleared the acre and are planting a food forest. We are new to Florida and planting trees so your channel as well as Pete Kanaris and Rob Greenfield have been very informative. We just purchased a strawberry tree and can’t wait to enjoy it as much as all of you! Thank you to you and your wife and May God Bless you and your beautiful family.
  • I'm in Tampa, 9B, and I ordered a tiny rooted plant from Well Spring Gardens in Lakeland less than a month ago, and it has grown by leaps and bounds. I know someone nearby who has a huge tree, always loaded with dozens of berries; he has to spread a sheet out under the tree to salvage as many cherries as possible. I've taken lots of cuttings from his tree, but I haven't had any luck rooting them. So I'm glad I found out about this mail order nursery.

These berries are tasty. I find the taste reminiscing of mango strawberry mix, and i understand why the cotton candy comparison.
  • I bought one at Lowe's in Marianna FL last year for $25. It was about 4 ft tall and I had it on a 20 gallon bucket. It was doing very well outside. At the start of winter I took it inside my partial green house/ store shed. By the middle of January it died. I'm not totally surprised as I live in zone 8B.
  • I was able to procure one of these recently, and while my husband and I have been very successful with everything from sugar apple trees, pomegranate, even starfruit, our little Jamaican strawberry-cherry is staying small 🤔 I've noticed it doesn't like a lot of water, but looooves the sun. Do you guys fertilize these trees at all? I'm in 9-A, and our neighbor has a beautiful and healthy specimen in a 10 gallon pot 😮so I know we can grow them here, I'm just trying to figure out how to go about watering and feeding this little treelet (that's what I call them 😂) to keep it healthy and happy
  • Great video. Just bought my first Strawberry tree, I plan on keeping in a container because they can become very large and are susceptible to wind damage and breakage. I saw one recently the size of a small oak tree and an afternoon storm cracked it in half.
