I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use youtube.com/post/Ugkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR… . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Show the metal line afther the 1 hour work ?

Excellent creation! I wonder, have you tried using heat shrink instead of solder to prevent the strands of the cable from coming apart? I think the heat shrink is going to make the trimmer cable lighter than soldered cable.

I have a larger push string trimmer. I use the plastic coated cable. Keeps the strands together longer.
  • Boa idéia apesar do trabalho só me resta saber o tempo que dura os cabos e o efeito que faz em mato mais grosso porém é muito boa a idéia.

The metal line is very dangerous if it s broken and fly out with high speed,i tried once and a small part of the metal line went into my son's leg when he stood 2 metres away from me,i ran to him and pulled it out by hand, felt so lucky it did not go to the eyes, then never used the metal line again
  • interesting, this is good if you live out in the countryside, plus some really good protected gear, but not in the city

Ive thought about this myself. Was afraid the splinters being thrown from cable could be dangerous over time. Notice it losing cable over time? Did the sodering help?
  • Bravo Man ¡¡¡ please Tell me wen You had made the tutorial for some electric trimer version. Gracias ¡

Dobra ideja a dobar ti I kukuruz, rodio ove godine dobro 😂😂😂
  • I don't have a video on my adaptation. Nonetheless, here goes. I ran a solid piece of very thin stainless steed wire, similar to a bicycle spoke wire, but, out of stainless. Stainless steel will come right back to its shape during whacking. I ran it through the bobbin. I secured it with some little bolts that are hollow and have nuts. It is set. I fixed these little bolts and nuts to the exterior part of the hub, ran the wire through the bolt-nut assembly. I haven't used plastic trimmer wire in years. I do caution. Use pants and boots when operating this adaptation. You never know when the wire will shoot free and spike you or someone. Good luck.
  • Me gusta mucho esa idea, la voy a tratar, creo que tienes un talento de reinvertar.

Работа проделана большая, но трос срабатывается быстрее чем леска. Проверено лично. Так что не советую заморачиваться.
  • Good I did something similar bot not metal line because is more difficult for a trimmer. Remember the trimmer had some power to work and maybe cause damage. And be careful with that.
