I definitely wasn't ready to see the severed head.
-
It's good to hear something about Iraq told by a neutral party rather than a bigoted one.
-
Damn. I really wish I knew more about the Middle East.
-
Great explanation for such a complex topic.
-
This channel is quite the informative asset

Decent video, but some of your information is off. Particularly a couple of the maps you used to depict ISIS influence and disposition in Iraq. You're map showed a high amount of ISIS activity in the Northern, mountainous region of Iraq, which is controlled by the Kurds. Al-Albar province in the Western and South Western area of Iraq is where most of these insurgents cluster, and conduct operations.

Well presented, concise, and most interesting.

I'm a muslim and i'm a sunni and i have nothing against shia but just because of some arrogant shia and sunni this two groups the world is in war. I am sorry world that some of my brothers and sister did something very wrong like suicide bomings, killing the inncocents in Paris,Indonesia,Iraq and etc i'm sorry that you have lost your bestfriend, your husband, your father or your uncle during the war they have died for their country without them i think USA had been compromised and had been attacked so on behalf of them i will like to say sorry...but i'm still waiting for an apology from some of you cuz some of you are racist abusing my brothers and sister that had nothing to do with ISIS,Al-qaeda and etc i'm still waiting
-
Man, can you do a "not so brief history lesson?"
-
this reminds me of my mother reading bedtime stories to me. good job
-
The last line of this video was powerful.
-
Thanks for your video, it certainly explains a lot of things - found it useful to know as I'm always confused about what ISIS actually are. :)
-
Nicely explained!
-
I am so glad I found your channel today. I subscribed after the fist video. I'm learning a lot. Thank you!

Usually the headline footage would be of a newspaper. Since this is the 21st century, it might as well by a computer screen, which is traditionally accompanied by those wonderful squiggly lines.
-
Imagine being so horrible, that Al Qaeda rejects you
-
Good video
-
Thank you for this video, this is a great explanation without hearing the liberal or conservative bias on either side. I just want the facts

At about 1:15, I'm pretty sure that when Al Qaeda in Iraq was pushed out of Iraq into Syria, Al Qaeda in Iraq attacked the U.S. "trained" Syrian rebels and the Kurds, not the Assad regime. It was the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing.

watched this in my Language Arts Honors...horrible😞
