I'm an old woman at the end of my life. I discovered this movie today and was so completely delighted. The "Green Knowe" book series was one of my favorites when I was a little girl. I'm going to find the books again and treasure the reading of them at this time in my life. Thank you so very much for this wonderful and unexpected gift.

I'm almost 62 years old, few films have made this old man tearing up at the end, it was worth it. I read many of the comments regarding my post, it seems that we can form the 60's group, where we can share all what is interesting or important to us! When I said that I was old, I was feeling so that day I posted, in reality most of the time I feel I'm 30, I'm very healthy, dynamic and positive, but I guess we all have our "I feel old" days sometimes. I loved the fact that no one was disrespectful or nasty in their comment, I guess life has taught us that that leads nowhere positive.

I first saw this movie on Netflix ten years ago the day after my husband died. It was the only thing I could stand to have on in the quiet house. Thank you for posting it. It's beautiful and makes a person cry, in the best way.

The ending has me in tears, it's a shame we don't have more films like this, without gratuitous sex, violence and swearing. You don't need sex, violence and swearing to have a really good and enjoyable film, you just need good writing and actors. This film had all that.

Any movie with Maggie Smith will always be a gem. Very well done play on time shifts. It makes all the”new” time travel genre look silly. More a shift in dimensions both real and unreal made very plausible. Bravo to all

"never quarrel with your children. It's not worth it". What a gem of an advice !!!!

The entwining of the past and the present was so brilliantly done..for Tolly to be exposed to other dimensions gave him the ability to be in both..Maggie Smith was a very loving grandmother who came to realise the past needed to be rectified ❤

I'm having a really hard time finding words to describe how I feel about this movie. I don't want to be cliche, so I can just say that it's been wonderful. Everyone should have their heart tugged occasionally, it helps with one's perspective in this messed up world. Thank you very much !

That is simply the most beautiful ghost story I've seen for at least 50 years! Had me in tears as it ended, I'm not ashamed to say.

I found it thoroughly enjoyable and unique - and loved that cast! Can't go wrong with Maggie and Hugh.

I kept ignoring this movie for 5 days and even thought of removing it but then decide to just look at the beginning. I was hooked from the first second! Brilliantly done and executed film. I must step out of my box more often. Realizing lately that it has unexpectedly pleasant results 😊❤

I lost my older brother just a few short months ago. My younger brother just sold his humble house over the week end. I wonder how I was going to handle the holidays this year. I miss him dearly, and this brilliant movie has moved me. Good bye Sean, you were loved. Thank you for this gem.

I WATCHED THIS MOVIE 2 TIMES BACK TO BACK. I didn't want to miss a moment. Such a beautiful and adventurous story.

I had never heard of this exquisite film before and can’t imagine why. I am 64 and it has all the enchantment, beauty and adventure of the classic novels I read and TV series and movies I saw in the 1960s and early 1970s. I felt I’d returned wide-eyed to my childhood. I was completely captivated by it, it taps into very many traditional literary ideas, motifs and plots but not in a predictable way. So unpredictable, that the ending caused me to tear up as fantasy blends with the painful truths of the war years. Julian Fellowes is such a brilliant, gentle storyteller and a good director. Obviously, it goes without saying he has a stellar cast here, so many beloved and familiar faces, no wonder he recruited many of them for Downton Abbey. Alex Etel is very strongly supported but in the end he has to carry much of the film and he does so very well. An absolute delight.

Lovely movie, no profanity, nudity, just a simple Lovely ghost story & acceptance of lost loved ones. ❤️

In what can be a very dark world, from time to time, a film such as this can shine a light and give new hope, well done to all those involved in the making of this film.
