La Posada Hotel - Restored Harvey Hotel on Route 66 in Winslow, Arizona

Published 2022-04-29
A tour of the La Posada Hotel in Winslow, Arizona, a beautifully restored Harvey House Hotel on Route 66 and the Santa Fe Railroad. This video tells about the history of the hotel and it's architect, Mary Jane Colter. I explored the hotel, ate at the Turquoise Room, and viewed some interesting artwork by Tina Mion, including some of her unique First Ladies portraits.

  • I stayed there about 5-6 years ago. Just an incredible place. The restaurant was excellent as well. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Nice little bar as well. The artwork was really interesting as were the furnishings all around the hotel. The rooms were also really nice with furnishings that matched the history of the place. I would love to go back some day.

When I was a kid this was the Santa Fe office, and we would go there to pick up my dad's check. Beautiful.
