Everything I saw him do in this game just looks familiar to me. This is what he does! You Vikings have same offense Harbaugh ran here in college. At the draft MULTIPLE scouts said when talking to prospects, UM's are 2 years ahead of the rest in their understanding of pro concepts. JJ is already showing that. Those gimmicky, Air-Raid, 55 passes/gm offenses in college are great for hollow stats vs lesser opponents, but barely translates (if at all) to NFL.

I give him a B+. The game looked a little fast for him, but he settled down. The only way to get used to game speed is by playing. He made some really nice throws and had a couple of runs. Like you said, the Raiders have a legit defense. I don't think you could ask for anything more. Trishton Jackson at WR looked great as well. 4 rec, 100 yards, 1 TD.

I honestly think the interception was a good thing for him. We got to see how he responds to adversity. He’s Going to be a beast in the future. Just give him a little time to settle into the game

I appreciate u being honest about the raiders ! Jj doesn’t look too bad
  • The "EXPERTS" said he couldn't throw because he had a run first offense in Michigan. HA HA HA!!! And unlike Kirk Cousins, it appears he can run too!!! 😮
  • Anyone including the Vikings saying Sam is ready has another wake up call coming. I said Vikings would win 13 games under Kevin’s first year and the second year i said this is a 5 win team witch I was off a couple only because the defense was actually okay. This year if JJ starts, I predict a 14 win season!!! If Sam starts and plays the whole year, this is a 9-8 season. If let’s say JJ comes in by week 6. This will be a 11 win season. They need to start JJ if they want to win.

They gonna be changing the names of the streets in the twin cities to jj Ave and McCarthy Blvd
  • @robe2504
McCarthy is coming along nicely. Now we all know that already, he could survive if thrown in, so the biggest takeaways for me are that they no longer need Mullens as insurance at QB2. The question is whether they can trade Mullens, and are happy to keep Hall as a PS project. I don't think Mullen's would clear waivers.
  • He showed he could throw on the left/ deep balls, needs more experience on reads.things could be trained. Looks like a bright future
  • 0:17 wena Sammis , cerrando por derecha la formación, parecido a lo que hacía en Washington. No sé si esa va a ser su posición o bien lo ocuparán como TE . Creo que va a estar entre los 53 . Vamos Chile carajoooooooo !!!!

Darnold looked good as well. JJ was very impressive and I think he could start Week 1, but I also think it would be a season full of ups and downs if he did. Darnold should remain the starter until he loses the position during the regular season. Hopefully that doesn’t happen though because that would mean that we’re losing and I think a season on the bench would do wonders for McCarthy. Boring I know but I think it’s for the best long term.
  • This weekend, the Michigan quarterbacks in the NFL made Michigan look good, Joe Milton was on fire, so is JJ McCarthy. Joe Milton clowned his haters... And so did JJ McCarthy M-GO Blue 🏈 USC quarterbayck suck. The only halfway decent quarterback that USC ever put out didn't even get halfway decent until just before he retired, and we all know that was Carson Palmer.
  • It's like when you cut one bum, Andrew Boothe Jr., another bum emerges Byron Murphy Jr.
  • Why do people even comment??? You people don’t know crap about football. All you people did is watch your team when you have time to and that’s it ! Most of you don’t even know every player or team and how good they are !!!
  • He was ok..... very much a rookie .... he'll be fine in a year or so
