Working on things I need to change

2024-07-21に共有
Working on things I need to change, cleaning out our dusty corners, physically, mentally, emotionally. Reset healthy eating and good diet habits as well as literally sweeping all my dusty corners in my spaces. Rearrange my studio with me, do some art journaling to process and make big transformations. I want to optimise my storage and organisation of all my art supplies and studio furniture as well as do a declutter & detail clean. And, at the same time as removing all the dust and cobwebs, I am shifting my mindset and habits. It's a truly theraputic process!

Please do feel welcome to share any insights down in the comments below. It's wonderful and healing to share our stories...

Thank you Wendy! Yes, I felt a bit of overwhelm yesterday...I'm due to have major knee surgery in 4 weeks and I was baffled as to how to turn my living room into a temporary bedsit! I went out for stroll with my walking stick. Fresh sea air inspired me! I drove to store and ordered a recliner chair. I texted a pal offering her my large 3 seater sofa. I have a sofabed already. I will be on crutches for a good while. Feeling better today. We all need to take a break. To reset our brains! Not to feel too guilty about not completing our To Do list daily. I can't sit painting right now but I love the idea of small art journals instead..you inspire us all Wendy. ❤❤❤
  • Beautiful video as always, thank you. A little tip is switching from 'I have to' to 'I want to' or even better.. 'I get to'. What a privilege it makes life! <3

I was a teacher too and yes for me it seemed like a lifetime ago. I loved teaching in the 1990s and early 2000's but then everything went bad in the mid 2000's for the same reasons you mention. I am your age and my daughter just turned 34 today. I was 21, 34 years ago today when she was born. I feel like I have lived three lives since then. Mostly good. Some trauma with losing parents to dementia in 2017 and 2019. So had some PTSD from all of that which I am now healing from. I love your videos and also am an artist. I am just starting to write and illustrate my own Children's book I have always wanted to do. And I am making a room my studio so fun seeing you cleaning and arranging yours. XO Wendy!!
  • ❤ you know what they say Wendy ?! Behind every good man, there is a very good woman indeed. I’ve been looking for my James in all the wrong places. Now feeling clearer than ever and stepping into my feminine energy surrendering to the deep knowing that all is well and I am safe ❤
  • I always hope to find one of your videos on Sunday. Often times I work along with you be it journaling or cleaning—today was the dishes. Thank you for being there!
  • ❤ the bit before is always the hardest! In almost all situations! Thank you for the company and sharing ❤

You have to be so proud of yourself, making the plan to change around the room, and sticking with it and making it happen. Congratulations! Make sure you, the boss, compliments you, the worker, on a job well done 😉! Hope that the new air and energy gives the muses room to visit and dance. Thank James for all of us, for taking care of the orders, DIY, the tech stuff, and for being there for you. So glad that you are back journalling, and that your energy seems to be flowing again, and that you are doing the healthy stuff. I'm still in hibernation mode, resting, trying to eat healthy, self-care. My muse is quiet (hopefully recharging), and I have been making plans, spending time with my art books. It just feels right for me to "cocoon". Much love, gentle hugs, and joyous energy.🤗🧡❤️💜

I love your new arrangement, facing the light of day will bring you joy and peace . This inspired me to set up a working place for painting after my move many months ago . I lost a part of myself by not doing that . Lots of 💕 Thank you Wendy❤
  • oh wow! you get sunshine on your table top!!! that is such a cheerful thing❤❤❤ i love the move. The view we get when you sit at your desk is fantastic. it makes the place looks so much larger and inspiring. And any way to get supplies off my table but still visible is always welcome. Place looks great 😊
  • ✨I’m so very grateful that this is where you are on your path Wendy, speaking for myself here, as I feel I seem to be a few paces behind you, and then your lovely faeries appear,✨🧚🏻✨ showing the way!! You, sharing your wisdom, is a truly beautiful gift to all of us here! ✨🧚🏼✨

I like how more efficient and “reachable” you’ve made your studio space now.❤

I have learned from this video to focus on what I CAN do and not on what I can't. You are such an inspiration Wendy! (Also, I rerarrange my spaces so often...so glad to have a kindred spirit) 🥰🥰
  • While watching your video I managed to move a small bookshelf over beside my desk for my art supplies. Cleaned out the dust and set everything up. Thanks for the influence.
  • Gosh Wendy, this video resonated with me so much. I cleaned/decluttered a corner in my garage that is now dedicated to gardening. It also involved losts of sweeping and moving the spiders out. Still much to do. I am walking toward "early" retirement here in the USA, which allows me to get my Government Retirement at age 62. I've worked the corporate job sector for too long and with the exception of one role, none were regarding. I'm excited to start being dedicated to my creative pursuits 100% in the coming months, which may include a YouTube channel. 😊 BTW, I adore your daybed and that corner of your studio.
  • Both my oldest and youngest sisters passed away last year and my 13 year old fur baby bear within 70 days. Feb and March. Just still in a blur! But love watching your videos! So inspiring and motivational! Thank you love you!
  • This made me feeling good...the part when the music is on and you are drawing and painting over the writing..I could just watch you for hours...so calming ..you did a great job there i like it, moving shelves and all on your own... looking good & nice at the window...😊 Thank you for being so sweet and natural. I always look forward to your videos. Have a great week. X❤
