Pininyahang Manok, SIMPOL!

Mga Sangkap:
- 1 whole chicken
- Salt
- Cooking oil
- 1 pc onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- Chicken stock or water
- 1 pc carrot
- 2 pcs potatoes
- 1 cup coconut cream or evaporated milk
- Fish sauce
- Black pepper
- 1 cup pineapple chunks with syrup
- Brown sugar
- 3 pcs siling haba
- 1 pc red bell pepper
- 1 pc green bell pepper
Paraan ng Pagluto:
1. Sa isang bowl, timplahan ng asin ang manok. Ibabad at itabi.
2. Sa hiwalay na kawali, igisa ang sibuyas, bawang at ihalo ang binabad na manok.
3. Ilagay ang carrots at chicken stock o tubig. Pakuluan.
4. Kapag luto na ang manok, lagyan ng patatas, gata o evaporated milk at timplahan gamit ang patis at paminta.
5. Sunod na ilagay ang pineapple chunks, pineapple juice o syrup, at brown sugar. Haluin at pakuluan sa mahinang apoy hanggang sa maluto ang patatas at manok.
6. Ilagay ang siling haba, red at green bell pepper.

May point si Chef Tatung with regards to evaporated milk, kasi may "Evaporated Filled Milk" at mayroong "Evaporada". The former is used for savory dishes, the latter for desserts.

Haven't tried pininyahang manok with cream seems more flavorful than without cream....Will also true adding broccoli which I haven't tried also...I always remember my deceased mother who used to ask our food recipe for the day whenever I'm going to cook on Sundays(she's a born again Christian and attended worship services online due to aging and recent illness)..😢..now I'll miss her then when I'm going to cook your own version of pininyahang manok...I had my bday last March 31

I have a version of this. I use all of the pineapple juice in 2 big cans instead of chicken stock, then babad yung chicken doon while getting everything ready. No patis but beef stock cubes to melt

Ang dami kong tinignan na recipe na pininyahang manok. Matrabaho ang iba at parang may kulang. Nang makita ko ang iyong recipe ay nagustuhan ko iyong may sili. Iyon pala ang hinahanap ko (at the back of my mind, ika nga). Iyan ang niluto ko para sa asawa ko. Ginsmit ko lang ay chicken breast cubes. So yummy. Salamat
