Geno saying goodbye hit harder then the original! The developers knew how much the fans loved Geno and they were holding nothing back with the music, animation and feeling we got at the ending.

That's attention to detail, the yellow star goes straight up when the star road is broken and right before Exor crash flash happens it touches Neo squid aka Exor. Basically saying that from the beginning Smithy had the yellow star.

The ending had me in tears. Everybody celebrating about the giant rainbow star after when it was formed again. The reason why i love Super Mario cause of its storylines and maybe even its endings, it got me emotional and maybe interesed. I also love starry nights and stars. ⭐🌠

They changed Geno's scenes, I love how in the original he circles the doll to enter its body and how at the end the 7 stars drop down and pull the star spirit out of Geno. Still, an incredible adaption though.
