Yes. Growing up evangelical Christian I can attest that this is correct. There’s a lot of historical ignorance, and a blind faith in ideology. It causes them to lose their humanity, to lose the Love which is supposed to extend to everyone, the same.

Respecting someone’s religion doesn’t mean letting them have whatever they claim their god says is theirs. That’s illogical & insane.

I grew up thinking that Christians were the most progressive and pragmatic people, but evangelical Christians have once again reassured me that no religion is free of stereotypes, mythical events and unrealistic beliefs.
