Will Russell's disqualification affect Mercedes' team morale in the upcoming races?
  • @Paul_C
How is it 'un fair'? There is a reason why he was disqualified: The was below the minimum weight! That is a no no. Period.

Oh heavens, nothing like fabricating a story out of almost nothing. Begin with this: Russell, not the team, made the one-stop decision. Then this: Mercedes is on a roll which suggests the team is functioning well. And then this: Does anyone really think Hamilton is happy to have "inherited" the win, regardless of the strategy? Both Mercedes drivers drove brilliant races using different strategies. It was a great race. Just wish Ferarri could pick it up a level so we would have four teams dicing it out every F1 weekend.

I don’t want to hear any excuses!!! They did Ham wrong on many occasion during this race. And the car being underweight clearly would've help George stint for that long while also maintaining his pace under attack. Less weight, less deg! Hence the suspicion by the FIA after checking the initial weight. They suspected something was wrong and there find the car legality was compromised. Nothing to do with tire or fuel so again, it was cheating and a bad look on Toto.
  • @Yosser70
It wasn’t a great drive from Russell, his car was light so anything he did is irrelevant. Toto knew something was up, you could see it in his face as they crossed the line. Russel wanted the one stop, the team ran the numbers, it would be close on fuel but worth the risk because Russel was going to finish no where if he stopped.

Love it, this is true KARMA, Mercedes scre-wed over Lewis over his win in Belgium, and now both princess Russle and Mercedes gets punished, YESSSSS !!!!
  • @NeilBevan-to7bn
I've been saying this since Lewis told Toto he was going to Ferrari. Mercedes will not allow LH to beat GR in the driver's standings come seasons end (AGAIN) as this will demoralize the young pretender going forward. But you can't keep the GOAT down as easy as they thought.
  • @jamaalbedeau9766
All George wants to do is beat Lewis. Not the grid, not to be a winner. Just be ahead of Lewis. He isn’t as good as he think he is, not even as good as Lando or Oscar. He wouldn’t have beaten Lewis if he was the correct weight. After pitting he would have been 5
  • @dappadixful
Lewis should never assist George in the future! He was happy for Piastra to catch Lewis if it meant winning the race. Lewis will be more than satisfied with the win. He deserves this one; 105 and counting!
  • @bisaiah9797
It's over. Doesn't matter what happens , Lewis, is in A Ferrari next year.
  • @Ambientn0iz
It was some bullshit that they radio’d HAM at the last few laps, to give RUS some extra space as if HAM is some noob who should be careful not to mess up RUS’s race. What a load of crap. Disrespectul af.
  • @johntrayers2647
They've been trying to shaft Hamilton since he said he was off else where so I'm glad he ended up with the win and that's quite a lot of weight to be under by
  • @chrism3790
Unfair? Literally the opposite. If you break the rules, you get disqualified. That is fair.
  • @scoobersteve307
Merc went by Lewis second pit stop and checked the tyre wear to then have the idea to keep Russell out, but I don’t think Russell would manage to win it from that far back. Possibly 3rd place at best. But coupled with a lighter car also. But then Toyo’s face after Russell crossed the lines was like he knew something was coming. Very unusual.
  • @LeongGunners
When George took the chequered flag, there was a close up on Toto who looked totally unexcited at their 1-2. It was like, he already knew what was coming.
  • @mic00007
Putting skills aside, 1.5 kilo lighter is what gave GR the upperhand the entire race.
  • @theklaus7436
Rules are rules. You are not the first who has experienced this. Just unlucky to get caught
  • @cineM4RL
Not fair? The rules exist for a reason. That weight is work a couple tenths per lap, which is like 9 seconds over the race.
