Bolt jogged a 9.85 at the Semi’s in Beijing- made it look EASY. Even in the 9.58 WR, he looked insanely relaxed.

The world lead last year was 9.83, and it's been 9 years since anyone ran under 9.76 - no one is even close to threatening the 9.6s let alone 9.5s

Its breakable but its not going to break anytime soon.
  • To run sub-9.58, an athlete would need a combination of being a genetic freak, extreme hardwork and perfect condition on the race day. Many athletes only had one or two of those. Maybe there is someone who is genetically better than Bolt, working in an office or a contruction site now. Until we have someone like that training for 100m, really putting in effort in training and having perfect condition on one of his race days, then there is a chance 9.58 will be broken.
  • I appreciate you for covering notable performances across the globe. I wouldn't know about the Chinese athletes without this video.

Flo Jo's 10.49 is like searching for kryptonite on the sun with a torch light and Bolt's 9.58 is more elusive than that..one thing for sure, it won't be Coleman..

Best overall objective track and field coverage on the internet.

All killer. No filler. The purest athletics wrap on YouTube. Thanks from across the ditch.

You really cant get any better coverage of track and field anywhere, no time wasted, no clickbait, can't imagine the effort that goes into gathering all this info every week, topped off with S tier commentary. Killing it man <3

the top 100m athletes are barely even breaking 10s anymore but "there are a lot of guys that pretty close" what a buffoon.
  • @CedricDubler
Just found your channel but really rate you content. Thank you for filling us all in!

I give my utmost respect to the world's fastest sprinters of today but 9.58 is statistically way out there and definitely out of the reach of the present top contenders for the WR. When was the last time someone ran a wind legal sub 9.8?
  • @russetvelvet
the women's 100m U20 Asian title was also won by a 15-y-o Chinese girl Chen Yujie with a 11.32 (+0.7m/s) performance
  • For the 9.58 to be broken you would need to replicate Usain Bolt and get him a perfect race, with perfect conditions. Usain is known for his Top end speed but in that race he was level or ahead of everyone at 35m.

Kia Ora 🙏You have the best athletics channel ever. Thank you for your hard work and awesome commentary.

You've got a great sense of humour man, really adds to the round up!
  • @Tsunamay
I just found these videos, they are amazing! It reminds me when I did javelin in highschool.
  • Actually Christian, the guys 'competing today' are far off. None of you have run sub 9.7 and you're talking about sub 9.6?
