Student protests in Bangladesh have turned violent with dozens of people reportedly killed and hundreds injured in clashes with police. Protesters are demanding that the government end a quota system that reserves jobs for relatives of veterans who fought in the war of independence from Pakistan in 1971, something they consider discriminatory.

    Now its not only quata any more. More than 110 students are killed and 3thousands are injured Till Friday. On Saturday alone, 40 people were reported to have been martyred in the attack by law enforcement forces on protesters in Dhaka alone. 33 people were martyred in the police attack in Jatrabari. 4 martyrs in Shahjadpur and 3 in Savar of Dhaka Source: The Mirror Asia
