  • you know he is the GOAT when he looks at the other swimmers before they finish
  • @Tchafsir
The craziest part is that he's not even surprised.
  • His turns are flawless and his technique is perfect. Michael Phelps is one of the greatest athletes (yes, ATHLETES) of all-time.
  • I didn't realise they allowed fish into the Olympics.
  • @mgh
no matter what people say about him being cocky, there is no defence to how amazing this guy is at swimming. its talent.
  • @dulax08
Michael Phelps is already dry before his opponents finish swimming.
  • Took my first swimming class today and almost died. Looking at Michael Phelps afterwards is insane.
  • After 11 years, he was still the greatest athlete of Olympic
  • His ability on the turns is absolutely insane. This guy went straight to human from fish.
  • " Swimming is normal for me. I'm relaxed. I'm comfortable, and I know my surroundings. It's my home. " ~ Michael Phelps

Having witnessed Bolt and Phelps together during my childhood was just FANTASTIC! <3

You can see just how much of a beast he was from that start alone. 10 seconds in and already a good half body length in front of the field. If we ever see someone as dominant as him again i will be shocked
  • Just keep swimming just keep swimming just keep swimming swimming swimming swimming
  • The kind of guy to pull off one swim cap to have another underneath
  • His dolphin kicks are a masterpiece. His underwater swimming at the turns gave him all these gold metals! Well done Michael! You are an idol!!!
  • I still say this is his most dominant performance at any Olympics. It is unheard of for a guy to win the 200m free by 2 seconds. Simply unreal. It almost makes me wish he chose to swim the 400m free as well. I wonder if he could've won the gold in that event. I know he already had an unbelievably heavy load with his 8 events, but it really makes me wonder.
