Jim's Roof COLLAPSED! As We Started His Garden Rescue.. (Jim Ep1)

Published 2024-05-31
How could we leave him like that? The kitchen roof collapsed the week we were planning to help Jim with his Garden, we could see how much of stress this was for him, on top of everything he already has going on. So we surprised Jim by offering to replace his roof at no cost to him.. This is just episode 1 of the series so stick around to see how this one unravels.

Very grateful to be using Kress equipment.. they donated power tools to help us on the blessing!

When Jim hugged you and said he loved you I just lost it, I am in floods of tears, thank you so much for helping him and his wife you are all awesome!
  • You aren’t repairing their house. You are giving them hope to carry on with life. I hope your heart is proud! What a great example to your children and the internet!
  • You are definitely not plunkers but you are definitely angels of kindness

I could not imagine waking up every day just to go down and clean the mess in the kitchen from the rain. To grow old and to feel so helpless is a terrible thing. I wish there were more folks like you around. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done.
  • I AM A 72 YEAR OLD WIDOWER AND I KNOW WHEN SOMEBODY GIVES YOU A GIFT LIKE THAT YOU THINK YOU HAVE WON THE LOTTERY WHAT ANGLES YOU ALL ARE MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU ALL EVERY DAY JIM IS SO HAPPY THANKS 😊 ☺ 🙏 ❤ 💕 MARGARET LYNCH SOUTHERN IRELAND

I can’t get over how far you blokes have come. From simple pressure washing of some community spaces to full on repairs helping those in your community that have been left otherwise helpless. And not just the hard work you guys put in, but then also encouraging other tradies to get involved, donating their time and energy. And all because it’s just the right thing to do. Well done chaps. Well done.

Kress tools, this crew is your best advertisement. Every time they show a new tool, my husband asks for it for his birthday, Father’s Day, Christmas and our anniversary. Now, I don’t have to worry about what to buy him anymore. Thank you for donating all this equipment. Ben can sure use it. His projects have become bigger and better with the help of the Kress equipment.
  • “I’ve had a BIT of a Heart Attack”!?!? Jim is that bloke whose leg could be hanging off and he would tell you it’s “just a flesh wound”! Fair play to you for helping him out-that hug at the end was something very special x

Jim is so kind and dapper. Lovely man and so glad you came into each other’s orbit. Helping someone like him is sharing the love.

I'm a Scottish male of 64 years and I don't show emotion much but what you do with your dad, Colin, Nick, Paul and the whole team - and the support from Kress - it is an incredible gift you give to these really needy people. They may think you're angels - and they would be justified in that belief. Thank you for all you do. Amazing - and wonderful viewing.

Seriously, you guys are angels and Jim seems like such a very lovely gentleman. It brings tears to my eyes that you can help him and his wife like you have. You inspire others to make the world a better place...and it's beautiful. 🙂💜🌼
  • I am absolutely transfixed, I can't stop watching. When the world has gone mad with news of man's inhumanity to man, women and children, it is so wonderful to see what you and your mates are doing to make Jim and his wife so very vrry happy. Thank you.

What a blessing you have given to Jim and his wife. You could hear the desperation and then the relief in his voice. Thank you for helping out those in dire need, without resources and in their twilight years. You turn their lives golden. Lots of love ❤️ to you and your family and helpers.
  • The fact Jim is sat outside with you all - just warms my heart and brings a tear to my eyes! Thankyou for doing what you do!
  • @megana5658
This series is not only helping Jim. It’s helpful to see how to repair these things and why to keep a yard clean. Thank you.

Having left the UK over 50 years ago I still remember the days of community spirit. We discovered Ben with his high pressure cleaning clips about a year ago and how he's growing both business wise and humanity wise is just beautiful to watch. I've just suggested on a pommie page here in Aus to start watching his series, as the relationships that are being formed between Bens mob and Jim is just so emotional and heartwarming. Jim the typical proud senior having to accept with humility the generosity that started with Ben and now the rest of the world is so refreshing and genuine. Much better than award winning movies I told my group, as this is real and genuine. My age group can feel for Jim as we know what it's like to no longer be able to do those jobs that were so easy a couple of years ago. To go from being fiercely independent and now having to accept help is truly hard. But Ben and the boys do this with such a gentle and genuine way it makes it easier to accept. Watching these relationships form and strengthen is heart warming. I can't wait each week for the next episodes. Well done boys and if there were some award we could nominate you for I would be. Excellent viewing.
  • A torched-down roof in theory is so basic. Yet obviously, an experienced, talented craftsman is required. So nice to see tradesmen excelling at their craft. These are the men and women we depend on every day. Not a fancy uni degree, just hardworking, solid-stock human beings making a difference in everyday life. Thank you for doing this!!!!
