As an introvert I absolutely love riding alone. I can do things at my own pace and if I want to stop and look at something I don't have to worry about holding everyone else up
-
Life may be short, but that chopper is L O N G. You get out and actually do it Josh. Give yourself more credit, you deserve it.

Best part about being and adult... buying a sketchy old bike, 1000 miles away, and riding it home... The worst part about being an adult... NO ONE WILL STOP YOU!.... Happy Birthday
-
If it's not weird he won't ride it

In 1970 I was 14 years old and I remember hearing the sound of the Honda 750's 4 mufflers and I knew it was something special. In 1975 I bought my first brand new motorcycle, a Honda CB 360T. I've been riding ever since. My only inline 4 was a 1982 Suzuki gs750e. It was quick and fast. Now I just putt around the local area on my 2019 Yamaha Bolt and 2023 Yamaha Zuma 125. I'll keep riding till I can't any more. Hopefully I can stay in the wind for at least 10 more years.

If you need a bush fix for a bad coil and can get to a parts store, a canister type ignition coil out of an old car can be used in a pinch. Just grab an internally ballasted coil and connect both HT leads into the center post of the coil. Hook the key side to + and the pickup side to ground and you should be on the road again. Can't vouch for long term durability, but it will get you home. Also, happy birthday!

Just drove 900 miles from Miami to the tail of the dragon and when I was ready to give up I kept thinking about you and the trips you’ve taken. Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks for getting me through it. On my way home tomorrow.

Happy Birthday dear Josh, and greetings from Denmark. Remember, you meet the nicest people on Honda`s, and you certainly qualify. I really enjoy following your adventures, and riding 1000 miles on that Chopper is the most sick trip yet, that you have made!!! Skål!!
-
Happy birthday Shadetree! We're almost the same age, but you inspired me to learn how to ride several years ago & now I couldn't imagine not riding for the rest of my life. I've got about two weeks until I hit the road going west for the first time, from San Antonio to San Diego. It'll be my second 3k+ miles trip and other than gas, I'm just hitting the road with a little bit of camping gear and essentials. 🐶
-
I remember riding across the Mohave while running 85 mph on an 81 CB750 and getting blown by by a kid on a 72 SOHC 750. That engine is the real deal.
-
Josh, I must admit, I love your cross-country trips on these old bike videos the best! I watched the old Shovelhead and the Honda CX 650 rides you made across country. They were really cool! Also, Happy Birthday!!!!! I no longer ride near what I did 30 years ago, but now I'm old at 62 and have a lot of arthritis. Anything over 50 miles I must stop and rest my back. However, if I still could, I'd ride like you. My longest road trip I ever made was Little Rock Arkansas to Cincinnati Ohio and then return back a week later. I Also rode again from Little Rock to Atlanta GA. Both of these trips were way back in 1995. However, it does not seem that long ago to me. I wish you the best and ride safe my friend!
-
Happy Birthday, more adventures with friends!!! Who boldly goes where no biker has gone before? It’s MDB and Shade !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
-
This is why I love this channel! I love when you do these crazy trips and on a chopper. Like a legit old school chopper! Hell Yeah!
-
Ever since I was a youngster, I’ve dearly loved those 70s-style choppers. In high school, I would buy Choppers magazine and drool over the styles. But I’ll soon be 69, and my fat ass and tired joints would never be able to handle them now. So I ride a Heritage Softail and, in my mind, it’s a chopper.
-
Happy Birthday. I remember back in the 70s guys would chop up their frames and then fairly often the thing would come apart on them going over railroad tracks or something. So... maybe having a custom frame made in a machine shop isn't the worst change in the world. I had a Paughco frame for a shovelhead build about a decade ago that was infinitely better than anything my amateur skills could have come up with. That frame is in Oklahoma now going into a a friend's vintage drag bike at some point.
-
A friend of mine back in the 80's had a chopped out CB750 with a 936 kit in it and he would do wheelies everywhere like all the damn time. Was a fun bike, but a bit scary at times.
-
I’m really looking forward to this video Josh , thanks as always for taking us on the journey with you
-
Thank you Josh for highlighting how diverse choppers can be. I would like to point out that you can still buy carbureted Yamaha cruisers brand new, and there is absolutely no shortage of carbureted cruisers from the big 4 made in the past decade that aren't really any more difficult to chop up than bikes from 40 years ago...

Another biker living on sketchy adventures here. Fresh out of the ICU after my latest adventure was cut short when a sudden blowout sent me sliding down I-90 at 70 mph. I understand your video totally. With any luck I will be healed and have a bike hiway ready in time for the Forgotten Angel's campout, fingers crossed. Huge disappointment I didn't make it to Amanda's Rocky Mountain Roll but I suppose not every adventure is a success.
