Aiyuk wants to stay in SF, this interview made it clear he’s just hurt over the contract talks and I can understand him. He even stood up for Purdy saying he’s with the right QB and right team.

I hate the way SF drags out these negotiations. I've been a fan all my life and hopefully this doesn’t backfire, they've already driven the price up by waiting. If they wait until next year, they'll be driving the price up even more. Number 1 receivers don't grow on trees, pay the man.

It's a little sad that these young guys actually think their social media posts give them leverage in these negotiations. I get it, they have nothing else they can do in the NFL, it's not like the NBA, but it doesn't seem to ever move the needle for owners and it just turns some fans against those players. Aiyuk has shown what he's worth over the last couple of seasons. The numbers he got last year, despite being on a stacked offense that isn't a pass heavy offense, should be enough for him to get paid.

It’s funny cause on any other team he would’ve easily been paid. On the 49ers it’s just different cause we have so many playmakers and paying 28 million for a player is a risk especially if they have to pay Purdy next year.
