I like the thought that olimar specifically plans out his entire day to have just enough time to kiss all his pikmin goodnight

i like to think that most of the pikmin just get back in line when Olimar isnt looking

Today I now have 29/30 ship parts. And to celebrate, I decided to pack up earlier than usual so I could give my current squad of pikmin goodnight kisses. Although I'm wearing a helmet, they seem to understand what I was doing. They all seemed happy and some even tried to sneak back in line.

The sound of 100 Pikmin being kissed goodnight is life-giving.

The secret third ending where Olimar gives Forward Facing Bulborb a kiss

“He just…keeps head butting us with his glass helmet. Is this some kind of unique alien gesture?”

Thank God he kissed them all goodnight, and got the time to do so. I would hate it if he was unable to.

A day in Pikmin 1 is 13 minutes and 30 seconds
It takes Olimar 3 minutes and 10 seconds to kiss all of his Pikmin goodnight
If he were to do this and make sure he would do it before night completely fell, that means 23% of his day would be spent kissing his Pikmin goodnight.

Could be a fun challenge run, you have to get off the planet as fast as possible while allowing time to kiss each Pikmin goodnight.

This is what pikmin is all about using your time effectively and knowing what you can accomplish in a day im glad olimar knew how much time it would take to kiss all of his pikmin and still have enough time to escape great job

I know that's just their normal sounds, but I like to imagine the pikmin don't know how to kiss but still wanna kiss Olimar goodnight back, so their way of doing so is to make kissing sounds to the best of their ability.

Edit: I just wish to say I finally got Pikmin 4 for belated christmas gift and 100% it within about a week and a half. This was my first time playing the series, it's one of my favorites now, and my desire to kiss my pikmin goodnight has only grown stronger. I'm thinking of doing a no pikmin lost run, but I am nervous about that.

I’ve done the counting!
Olimar does have 100 pikmin. And assuming my counting is correct…
- 36 are red.
- 34 are yellow.
- And 30 are blue, making them the amount of pikmin he has the least of.
I was gonna count how many were leaf/bud/blooms, but my ADHD-riddled brain absolutely hated this task. It was way harder than it ever should’ve been.

I love that some of the Pikmin actually have flower buds or bloomed flowers on them!

I counted. That was a perfect 100 pikmin. I like the attention to detail.

Fun fact: the fast forward bar is timed perfectly that if you fast forward it and look at the screen in looks like it’s looping with a different coloured pikmin on each frame

There was 100 pikmin that were kissed in this video, 36 of which were Red Pikmin, 34 were Yellow Pikmin, and 30 were Blue Pikmin.

66 of them had leaves on their head, (24 Red, 22 Yellow, 20 Blue), 20 of them had a Bud on their head (8 Red, 6 Yellow, 6 Blue), and only 14 of them had Flowers on their head (4 Red, 6 Yellow, 4 Blue).

The first Pikmin was kissed at 0:06, and the Last Pikmin was kissed at 3:16, meaning it takes Olimar 3 minutes and ten seconds to kiss all of his Pikmin.
