You should’ve replied to the “ask your English teacher” Email with this: “Are you (a representative of this fine learning establishment) directing me (a student of said learning establishment) to speak to a former teacher who was fired for tarnishing the school’s name by, and I quote, ‘being a fucking sex offender’ over an overdue library book that was supposedly checked out when no students were allowed to be on school property due to the global pandemic that kill millions? I mean her address is on the registry, so I could 100% go to her house and speak with her, but I first want to clarify that this is, in fact what you are instructing me to do. (Please note that I may save a copy of your response for legal reasons)”

By technicality that is illegal, they cannot charge you money for something you did not own at any given time. But legally you cannot sue them because it goes against an amendment saying you cannot sue someone for under 20$

a kid i knew in hs i still talk to nowadays (its been 1 year from now since i graduated), hes going to be a senior, but hes kind of a tech wiz, and called me one day and startled me because i didnt know how he got my actual number (aside from a nintendo switch he put android OS on to test if its sms worked with my number). Said he somehow accessed records to EVERY student in the past 10 or so years to date. Including medical records, emails, phone numbers, and passwords to school emails AND social security numbers. Apparently, he said that almost any student can access them. Said he told administration theres security issues with their system but was ignored so hes leaking the breach (not the information) after graduation.
