7:45 Actually, some people of the Godzilla community care about the human characters. Even critics. If you're reading this Matt, (or his replacement.) please understand that what makes a good monster movie isn't about the monsters or how good the fight scenes are. It's about giving good monster action, coupled with a good plot and storyline, and with good human characters as well. I hope that I didn't offend anyone, and if I did, then I'm sorry. Mirus 2000 out.

This has probably been mentioned a lot by now, but interestingly the novelization of this movie includes implications that Ren's mind is taken over/eaten by Ghidorah's consciousness, and when Madison goes to the room where Ghidorah's skull was, Ren's body is nowhere to be found.

Almost 99% percent of thing vs thing ends up in them working together.

My biggest gripe with the movie was that you don't put Serizawas kid in the film and then do literally nothing with him and don't explain his motivations. It really felt like the movie needed another 35-45 minutes to flesh some of its storytelling out

Fun fact: The word Jia in Chinese means both family and home. Kind of cool that Jia in the movie represented both for Kong.

Honestly, that makes sense to me. They probably did want to play it safe with the future of the franchise uncertain. But while they aren't likely to re-add scenes and release a director's cut, I do agree they might just work some of this untold stuff into the next movie. Presuming there is one of course.
