I think I watch these videos the most because it’s very relatable. The key line was, “now that I have an apartment I have more space than just my room to be messy.” I’m sitting on my couch right now looking at mess and I am downsizing my next apartment because the only thing that more space gives me is more mess right now

I suffer with being disorganised and one thing i have learnt to be helpful is to have “home” for everything. I think that is why the bathroom organisation was easy for you, since everything has its exact “home”. It helps me tremendously for when i am lazy or tired and not put things where theyre supposed to be, everytime i put them down, i immediately remind myself, this is not its home, lets put it away to where they belong.😊

Dont put it down, put it away! Thats my mantra and helped me A LOT to be less cluttered/messy all the time
  • @mirthe2908
Honestly a relief to see other people also struggle with keeping their room/home clean

I’m a nonstop cleaner. The biggest thing that will help is the habit of cleaning as go, and also I always do a 10/15 minute tidy before bed. Nothing feels as good as waking up to a tidy house.

Jen’s content is so well edited and filmed, it’s like a movie even when she’s just cleaning! Sending love from Vancouver Island!

some advice here: start with little things, storage organisation, we all need that chair to pile up clean clothes and dirty in the bin, and by that you keep all clean stuff in one place to put in the closet when you can. The living room, never have too many decorations because it then will be things to keep organise and clean, if it is difficult to organise, just be minimal with things up in the table, have one bin to throw all the mess like remote controls, papers and all tht stuff. In the kitchen the best is for always once you grab something, clean after use and put where it should be, in the living room, clean once you get up, or after meal, once a day to grab anything you need to organise. For bath, always once a week or twice a moth set a day to clean the bathroom and yet again keep all the things you need a hand and everything you don´t in the drawers. At least it works for me, that reduces the mess. Sorry for being so long hhehehehe

As a naturally organized person you’re right! Systems keep us clean and as a lazy person they’re lazy cleaning system as well 😂 I call it organized chaos. Cute bins for certain items where you can chuck everything in there. An ottoman that opens for clothes youve worn but aren’t dirty yet etc. it takes some thought at the forefront but the systems take away so much decision fatigue. Great job on the deep clean!!

I literally can’t get over how amazing your hair looks!!

This is so relatable 😄 you should try doing a 15 minute tidy every night. 5 Minutes: collect all trash/dishes. 5 Minutes: take care of clothes that are lying around. Take a large basket or box and clear everything on your flat surfaces that doesn't belong and put it in the basket. When your done you can just carry around your basket and put stuff where it belongs. It's like a game I think I have seen this tip on How to ADHD Loved the video 😘 greetings from Germany

This what I told my brother who has a hard time cleaning and would just bulk clean like you. Don’t look at the people who obsessively clean because those people distress with cleaning and is their type of relaxation. You need to make a list of things that always get dirty- clothes on the floor, dirty dishes, laundry. Just clean every four days so it won’t pile up. And please buy a real mop or a flat mop and bucket, run some warm water and all purpose cleaner.
  • Hi! If you need a little advice, I personally do 2 things: The first is the "Dont put it down, put it away mentality" and second is that i have 1 day a week, typically saturday where I do everything- mealplan, food shopping for the whole week, laundry, running dishwasher, cleaning fridge, maybe change bedding, clean surfaces, bathroom etc. It works great for me, but we are all different! :)

one way I’ve found to not be overwhelmed and become paralyzed is whenever you feel like you need a tidy 2-3 times a week just set a timer for 10 minutes and whatever you do in those 10 minutes thats it! and it’s your choice if you want to keep going or not for however long. Low pressure and low energy friendly. Definitely on par with atomic habits and building systems.

Good to hear you address the whole compostable thing!! It’s actually so bad HOW MANY things are green washed it’s so depressing and makes it so challenging to be sustainable meaning less people do it because it’s so much work to actually figure it out it sucks. Anyway, happy to see you shedding some light on the issue
  • @ms.borzynski2195
I appreciate you sharing this. I’m the same way and always have been and it’s stressful seeing people with perfect homes and it feels like something is wrong with me but really so many people are like this. Right now I’m in the state of my house is a mess and I need to clean it but I just can’t get started
  • I feel that, even though it may be a little messy, it cleans up really quickly because your house is so minimalist (which is refreshing imho). I guess that is the real upside of a minimal home. I really need to declutter, thank you for the inspo ❤

Omg not me procrastinating cleaning my apartment by watching this 😅 but something I’ve been TRYING lately is don’t put things down, put them away! And to wash dishes immediately after I eat. I swear it makes such a big difference but I’m always so tired when I come home that it’s hard to keep up. But trying is the key word!!
