As a mechanic, we would love it if people kept buying PT cruisers. Christmas is never better with that extra income
  • @csncln
Ahh.. the PT CRUISER. As a mechanic, that car made so much money. I was sad when they stopped making it😢
  • @kenshinplace
Didn't think I'd ever hear "BMW" and "solid reliability" in the same sentence

Any Nissan with a CVT is just a disaster waiting to happen
  • @anthonyl1506
My sister had a pt cruiser for several years. That car gave her ptsd and she refuses to ever but a Chrysler again.
  • How to erase any plausible claim to automotive expertise in one sentence: "Any car bearing a BMW badge is going to give you solid level of reliability."

The Jaguar is also a ford mondeo under the fancy Jag dress, in the UK anyway
  • I had an A4 Avant from 2011 and still to this day consider it one of the best cars I ever had. The design of the thing 10 years ago was incredible in my opinion, it never gave me any problems with reliability and since it was the 2.0 Liter Diesel, it consumed very little (it probably also polluted tons of NOx in the atmosphere, but hey no one's perfect). Owning now the latest A4 Avant, I have to say that the built quality was actually better in the previous gen and the design too was much better back in the day, should have just kept my old A4 😢
  • I am actually surprised that you didn't include land rover in the list I am sure the squid would put it on the top of the list

I’m just waiting for this guy to say “Land Rover” and now I’m thinking this is not the car expert.
  • @ThisIsVolkky
I can confirm the Acadia 😅 my mother had an '08 and was used. It was fine for a while but after a year or so it started having engine problems. Throttle body stuck open, air leak, some other crap that had went out that I honestly cant remember lol. Overall it was a nice car, good looks and decently powered for what it was but got yeeted away after she realised it was a money pit. $10k in repairs later it got yeeted, which then led to the birth of my Lacrosse which became mine after she got a Ford Flex. So it was a ride and a half to say the least lol.

Jaguar X-type, 2000s Mercedes S class, and a Maserati Quattroporte, are all cars that your local rich, retired Lawyer drives.

Adding another car to the list. The Saturn Vue Greenline Hybrid. The other Vue models aren't half bad, but the hybrids were designed in Germany, and shared virtually zero mainstream parts, and as such were complete lemons. I owned one, and after buying it with just over 100k miles, the ABS, TC, ESC, and Hybrid power system failed, leaving me in a 4000lb crossover being lugged around by a 150whp 4 banger with a 4-speed auto. On another note, why isn't the Dodge Dart on this list? They have so many recalls and reported issues it's not even funny anymore.
