I was born and brought up in Hull. I only knew part of her story. Her statue is, I believe, on Ferensway. I now live in Canada, and this is the first time that I have heard the full story.

It's good to know what it is and who made it but I wonder who bought it and how did it get to where it was found. I have the tail fin from an intact WW2 incendiary bomb that we found in the loft space of my parents home. I often wonder how many hands it went through from manufacture to delivery.

Sorry You Tube seems to have reduced the broadcast volume starting about 3 days ago! My Win 11 is at max volume, sound still too low. Hello Jon. I noticed that you subbed to my channel recently, and I just completed a project that I think you might benefit from. I made a slide hammer style shovel for another gentlemen who uses a wheel chair detecting. This allows you to dig plugs with a detecting shovel using 2 hands while still being upright in your chair. I do not sell these things, and I do not know anyone currently who is. But a competent welder should be able to fabricate one for you once seeing the design. I stuck the finished one on my community tab, but have a couple more detailed shots on my fb group. Again this isn't some kind of solicitation, just trying to perpetuate the idea so more folks can benefit from it. take care and happy hunting
