  • Since we have been watching your shows for at least 5 years we decided to take a trip to Thailand. We were there for 6 weeks and I cooked in our little hotel room. The market was just downstairs from the hotel and I was making soups and stir frys, The sellers quickly realised what I was trying to do and made up packages of spices and vegetables for me. When we got home to AUstralia I couldnt stop thinking about our trip and the beautiful people. My husband had learnt to count in Thai and I learnt a few words. I started looking online for rentals in Chiang Mai. Then I came up with the idea to move to Thailand. It took over a year to organise it. We have lived here now for 6 months and everyday I feel blessed and am so happy. I love the markets , the people , I am learning the language and even my Lazada driver teaches me words. Thank You Marion so much you changed our lives. I cook everything from your channel. I am very happy for you and your family that you are so successful. You deserve it all. We love you and mama Noi. bless you. Ka

That transition shot from Thailand to Australia was smooth. Your editing team is fantastic
  • @Monkey-oy1us
Yes to long form content! Yes to recipes/cooking videos!
  • Can I just say that the thing that drew me to your channel on my first viewing was your open, friendly, down-to-earth manner and how much I felt at home watching your show. I immediately subscribed. I adore your cooking and OMG, that smile!!! Even though you are a busy, successful business woman, creator, wife and mom, you made an old woman from the mountains of Western North Carolina feel like she's just popped in for a coffee and chat. And you do this every.single.time. Well, done you. Role model for us all. Much love to you, your family and your whole team. 💕
  • I’m so excited for you! What I absolutely love about your whole creative process is that you have brought family into it. The kids, your sweet Mom and husband. I would also bet that the teams you have around you are also treated like family. You deserve every success you have coming your way. Years of hard dedicated work and now you can call the shots how you want. Thank you for being a very nice role model for women. You keep family at your side and include them. As you get bigger and more famous world wide, you haven’t become a private part. Well done Marion! You have kept what works for you by staying true to you. You give your parents a big high five for not raising a dough head.

This lady is truly amazing. I have so much love for Marion and her cooking skills, but homegirl is literally a flippin' unit. She is doing A LOT more than cooking, she is a businesswoman and holy moly such an amazing one. She stays true to her herself and longer content is fantastic. You can chill and watch it, put it in the background or put it on when you sleep. Much love to everyone on her teams too. This can only be achieved by the right people on your side.

yes, to longer videos! your channel, along with Pailin's Kitchen and Maangchi, are my favorite 'Asian Culinary Translation' channels. not only do you explain how to make a dish, you also take time to teach people who are new to those ingredients, or combinations of flavors, or even just how to serve and eat the finished dish. my family is originally from the Caribbean, so i remain in awe of how many of the same ingredients are used in our two cuisines, but in such drastically different ways. your mom reminds me of both my grandmothers, with the 'nothing wasted' approach to cooking.

I’m really happy to hear that. Don’t be suckered into all these social media algorithm. I find myself giving lesser and lesser appreciation for those reels and shorts. But in reality, those take just as much effort. And I don’t think that gives justice to the people who are involved in putting out content. To your point of sharing more of your life and experience, the idea of “from farm to table” is really what I want to see. Not polished videos. Not pretty staging or perfect kitchen. How meals are planned. How to take advantage of seasonal produce. Ingredients substitution — one recipe, several twists “same same but different”. I can’t wait to see that pivot! Thank you, Marion!!
  • Marion! You singlehandedly taught me how to cook from your videos. And now, I own my very own Malaysian resto in our little coastal home and people love it so so much. It’s going so well and I’m so thankful to have financial freedom from this opportunity. So many dishes that i have on the menu are based from your recipes. ❤ From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. And yes please to the longer contents, have and will always enjoy them 🥰 Also so excited to check out all your products!
  • YES! Please! Longer content!! I want to see context, I want the story. Tell me what you put in your kids lunch boxes! Would love to see the journey of product design. Day in the Life vlogs! Recipe development - show us the fails and talk us through the why so we can learn too. And more self promotion of the products you have worked so hard to create. ❤️
  • Brilliant. So many people are looking for authentic. They don’t care how long the videos. You’re such a natural Marion, do you for sure!
  • @SRTahir
OMG Dear Marion you are my inspiration. I first saw you in 2010 from MasterChef Australia. I used to live then in Saudi Arabia. Me and my family loved you, your creativity and competent style. You were like a millstone to achieve. And your attitude to set goals and then working hard to achieve them and which you made so easy for people to learn and to achieve and with that positive approach and a smile on face just like yours, what a beautiful dream to come true. Then three years back I saw you on your YouTube channel. I felt so much like home and watching you achieved so much made me so happy for you. We said yes we knew that you will do amazing in your life. And just like what I needed today was this inspirational video of yours. I am at the lowest these days in my life and your words just pulled me out of some dark place. You says that we might have taken some blessed days as for granted and I agree . My spirit just got high again in very positive way. Thanks a lot and wish you the best in your life. Your every word is so much of an education. yes it takes decades and i cant agree for less. Bless you dear always. You will be my inspiration always always. Plus you are lucky to have such beautiful mother in your life. I can see from where you inherited such a beautiful spirit. Bless her.
  • I started cooking asian food from scratch during COVID lockdown because of your videos, Marion! I watched so many of your videos to pass the time that I finally got brave enough to mask up and head to the local asian grocery store with my list I dutifully wrote down ("things Marian says I need but I don't have...palm sugar, dark soy, lemongrass, Shiaoxing wine, galangal, etc...") I also started growing Thai basil in my herb garden and using cilantro root since I grow it for Mexican cooking! It started off tame but before I knew it I was putting hot peppers in my stir fry's! And it WAS your longer-form videos that helped me understand the techniques necessary to successfully make asian dishes I also don't love the short ones, though they do get attention. Now I rely on your recipes above all others. THANK YOU for everything you do. I miss your meal kits, though, since we can no longer get them in the U.S. They were a serious "go to" for me. I actually loved bringing them on vacations where I would be cooking because they made "travel dinners" easy. Maybe there is a way to partner with independent grocery stores in the U.S.? I am not sure how all of that works, but I know we still have small, independent grocery stores that sell specialty products over here. I would think there would be a way to tap into that distribution chain. I hope so! Again, THANK YOU.
  • @ladikmk
You do you, Marion because I so enjoy seeing your smiling face and the joy that pours out of you when you're cooking - because isn't that what cooking is? Creating? Looking forward to seeing more of your life in Australia which is such a fascinating country. Long form or short form, I'll be watching. Stay well & keep on smiling.
  • @pep7890
In 2024, everything is so fast and instant. We all need to just slow down a bit and enjoy the moment. Looking forward to longer contents. Cheers!
  • @vidbox44
Our fast paced world moved us away from bona fide cooking shows. I loved those 30 minute PBS or Food Network hows with lots of valuable info. I’m excited you’re embracing that format. I missed it - TikTok and Instagram aren’t for me. And you’re certainly someone I’d enjoy watching for an extended episode.
  • Love the honesty in this video, Marion! As a long time viewer of yours, what draws me in to your content is your humour and personality that shines through when you are teaching us how to make your recipes. I did notice last year your slight pivot to more quick cut, short form content that made your videos feel like every other TikTok food creator out there. I'm so glad you are staying true to yourself and creating content that is more you!! Can't wait for long form content where we can see more of your personality!
  • @e9090
Marion, you made the COVID times liveable for me with your videos, recipes… the energy and authenticity you bring to your videos … thank you. Sorry it took me SO LONG to tell you this :)
  • More meal kits please! Another Thai noodle kit would be awesome. Your meal kits are so superior.
  • @tmackie1694
Lovely video Marion. I kind of wish you would’ve included Australia MasterChef part of your story, that’s where a lot of us first discovered you. 😊
