There isn't any smell because metals don't smell, and it's very quiet because metals are quiet.

i like that room of gold looks so casual. Just like any warehouse of things.
  • @darmokjalad5737
For so much gold you think they would stack the bars in a consistent pattern. Smh
  • @jonny828828
I would break into there just to organize the bars

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that this man's first words in the video wasn't "WOAH CHECK OUT ALL GOLD! I'D LIVE LIKE A KING WITH THIS!" It was along the lines of "It's a shame we can't use this vast quantity of an interesting element for scientific purposes." ......A true scientist. Well done.

My dear Professor Poliakoff, I', entirely certain that everyone who watched these videos will agree that you are worth so much more to us than your weight in gold, believe me. These enthusiastic periodic videos are invaluable!

I can't decide which is more amazing--the insane amount of gold or home boy's hair.
  • @ohioguy727
He couldve walked out with at least 3 bars in his hair and noone wouldve ever known...
  • “I’ve never seen so much of any element” Nitrogen-“am I just a joke to you?”
  • @knobtwista
"If he was worth his weight in gold..." People like him, with great knowladge, are worth far more for the human race.
  • @xZippy
Sadly, those bars won't make very durable mining tools. They can make some wicked powered rails though.
  • @lucyoriginales
“It could be doing exciting reactions...” omg! I love that professor

"and for those who use imperial units, that's two stone" what a legend
  • Now the oldest gold bar has been there for an exact century. Happy centenary Goldie Bar!
  • @tac540
I wonder if they searched his hair before leaving.
