Debby Timeline: Second landfall, when to expect the tropical storm to slam the DMV

Widespread moderate to heavy rain is likely Thursday due to the remnants of Debby moving through the region. Rainfall amounts could range from 1" - 3" by the end of the day.

Too much rain in a short amount time of will lead to flooding concerns across the area through Friday.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the I-81 corridor from 8 p.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. Friday. The First Alert Weather Team is also on FLOOD ALERT starting from 8 p.m. Thursday until Friday at 8 p.m., and a SEVERE ALERT from 4 a.m. to 2p.m. Friday.
