If you dread doing homework and settling down to study, you are not alone. In her talk, Kiki shares 3 study techniques that will not just reduce your study time, but also make it more enjoyable.
Kiki is an 8th-grade student at Lord Byng Secondary School in Vancouver. She loves to paddleboard and often lies down on it in the middle of the lake to gaze up at the sky. She imagines herself as a surfer when the waves come in. Kiki also enjoys reading, playing the piano and guitar, and taking care of her pet goldfish and turtle. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

  • note; this comment was made 4ds ago when there were less comments & useless criticisms which are now lost within the others. if you don't see them now, great. *if* you're critisizing her posture, movements, etc, cut her some slack. she's an 8th grader giving a ted-talk which is kinda a huge thing. she's doing well.

Ever since I've stumbled upon the mantra of "study smarter, not harder," my mind was instantly fascinated. It opened my eyes to a wise perspective: success isn't tied to the amount of hours you put into studying. It's about finding our own unique strategies that works efficiently, allowing us to reach our full potential.
  • when I'm her age, I live my life randomly. She knows exactly to work efficiently. I'm an engineering student and I learned from her how I can be more efficient when I'm studying.

Communicate with your friends and family so that they respect your focus time and avoid interrupting you during it. c. Make a commitment to yourself to stay focused and avoid distractions. Optimize your environment: a. Create a focus zone where you minimize distractions and maximize productivity. b. Keep drinks and snacks nearby to sustain your energy and concentration. c. Organize your desk according to your needs and preferences. d. Use ambient sounds or music to block out distracting noises. e. Consider listening to classical music, which can enhance focus and relaxation. Inspiring words from a kid: "This kid has a powerful mindset: acknowledging that they're not perfect but willing to cope with their current conditions and strive for improvement. We can all learn from this attitude and apply it to our own lives.
