This came to my mind while meditating on Thays passing and I feel like sharing it with you all: I sit in silence and smile. I sit with you dear teacher, I have never met. The wave has become only ocean again As it has always been With all my heart I thank you for teaching me to be, to sit, to walk You are me I am you And with the sound of the bell my heart says: "hello dear friend! thank you so much for being here" Thank you for this YouTube channel and sharing this teaching 🙏💜

Moved to tears. What a beautiful lesson. See you again one day, teacher.
  • I felt so sad last night when I received the email Thay had passed. When I listened to Thay talking the sadness disappeared. How lucky we are to listen to his calming voice teaching, to pick up one of his books to read. He lives on in us.

He endures, will endure, as long as those who love him spread his message. He is eternal. Rest well, Thay. Thank you for your life, for your love, and for your steadfastness. ❤️

How can I miss someone so much whom I never even met? Venerable Thay, rest easy and peacefully among the stars. I hope the world will listen to your wisdom and that we can manifest the peace you dreamt of. While it is sad that you are physically gone from us I am happy you passed back in the home you missed so much, knowing that you touched SO many lives and made such a huge impact during your incredible life. We will never forget you or stop trying to heal this world. I hope I can do my best to use the skills you helped me discover to turn my dealings with others into the best they can possibly be. Thank you for helping me feel better on so many restless nights when I couldn't sleep and I felt hopeless about the world. I love you and always will. Thank you.

I met this great teacher, spiritual guide and inspiration right after I was discharged in 1968 after serving in SE Asia during the Vietnam War. His spirit helped then and continues to this day…he continues to live, love, inspire and teach and will for generations to come. 🙏

May you arrive, as you left, as you continue to be, a beacon of peace and love for us all .

Thank you for sharing. I found Thay as I was severely depressed, grieving the deterioration of my Grandfather into his Vascular Dementia & Alezheimers. Thay's teachings about finding someone in the clouds, the rain, the tea, were fundamental in my accepting who my Grandfather is now, loving him as he is now & staying with him in the present moment. I cried a little over the loss of Thay over lunch, but I know I will find him in the clouds, in the rain, and in my tea. Tonight I had a Skype call with my Grandad and my heart is full. Thank you to the hard work of Plum Village for continuing to share Thay's wisdom as they grieve themselves.

What he is teaching us here is that he has not left us, he will continue through his words and heart that have penetrated us.

I am shocked to hear that teacher passed away. Even though i haven't met him face to face, the teachings will never be forgotten. Thank you teacher.
