  • Excellent, awesome review!! This will help me out when the time comes to get a tent.
  • @adaseth
Great review, please do more! Thanks!
  • Outstanding! Stephenson Warmlites are excellent tents, born out of mountain climbing. Durable and light weight, but pricey at roughly $400 and up. That was a great find!
  • I absolutely LOVE my Big Agnes UL2. It packs so small that it's almost ridiculous. I use it to fill in my pack around my Jetfoil MiniMO, my food, and "dead space" in my Osprey packs. My Sharpshire is also great.
  • This is just an outstanding review of various tents. Thank you so much.
  • got mine for my cross country bike trip this summer. I watched this and other videos and kept seeing it pop up. Yea, it needs to be staked out in my case, but it's an incredible amount of usable room for the weight. : ) You have quite a stable of tents built up!
  • Good job on the start of your channel! People enjoy seeing the products actually set up and used such as you are doing. Keep up the good work!
  • Had a TT Contrail "back in the day" (2005 -2008) . Sold it for a Tarptent Moment (2008 - 20014) Sold it for a Moment DW (still have it) later got a Tarptent Scarp 2 and now have a Tarptent Notch Li Dyneema fabric tent. So, yes, I'm a "Tarptent Fanboy". I backpack in the American west in all seasons. The Moment DW and Scarp 2 are modified for 4 season camping with optional Crossing Poles that I shortened and ran UNDER the fly of each tent. The Notch Li is strictly for 3 season backpacking.
  • Good reviews. Thanks for including Tarp Tent! I've used my Sublite for about 5 years in all weather, 4 seasons in the Oregon Cascades. It's a soft weave Tyvek material and weighs in @ 19 oz.

    outstanding review of these tents...
  • Thank you so much for this review! You did such a good job. I have been looking at the Big Agnes for a week now contemplating between it and the Nemo Meta 2p.

just bought a msr hubba. can't wait to use it. great video!

I purchased a BA Fly Creek @ from HumbleOutdoors for about $310 with a free footprint. I'm amazed by the lightness of this tent. Have used tent for approx. 15 evenings so far. It has kept me dry and snug. Like most two man tents, space is a premium. When I have by myself, it has been a palace.

Thanks for your video! It made me end my search for an ultralight tent. I just purchased the BA Fly Creek UL 2.

I use a Big Agnes Fly Creek UL2 (HumbleOutdoors $335 w/free footprint). Boy is this tent light. Thanks so much for your review, I like knowing about other tents.
  • I love my Big Agnes! 1 lb 9 oz. tent, pole, pegs, rain fly, and spare shunt for kinked poles...what a fantastic product! Also, check out their sleeping pads...takes a bit of breath, but they are luxurious and lightweight. like a king size bed in the bush! Good Video. nice job, going into the details. Very informative.
  • @bigesrac
Thank you for the input and very fast reply. I think I'm going to go with the hubba hubba and hopefully the extra 2lbs isnt too bad. Thanks again!
  • I've always like Coleman tent products, and have owned several. In fact, one of my first backpacking tents was a Coleman Inyo 2. They are a bargain for the money. While not lightweight (Inyo 2 was 5 pounds), they are durable, and almost all of their models have the "WeatherTec" system to keep them dry. My Inyo stayed secure and dry in a pounding west Texas thunderstorm. You may wind up humping a couple of extra pounds, but you'll save a few hundred dollars.
