What a beautiful transformation that he went from an angry teenager, picked up the Bible and God’s words breathed in a new life that has helped so many. I had a Godly man come into my life unexpectedly…I was afraid of him at first and had no desire to talk with him. Fast forward we unofficially adopted each other and he became grandpa to my boys. He had lost his wife 45 years of marriage to cancer and one month later I had lost my mother to cancer 3 days prior to her 49th birthday. We were friends for 20 years until he passed from cystic fibrosis. There wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t talk and he made it to every school event, encouraged me in my darkest times when my husband had run off with another woman. I miss my friend very much and I thank God he put him in my life…but I really wish I could see him again.
