Does buying the entire Xbox.com setup make any sense?

I actually prefer controllers that take AA batteries. I use rechargeable Li-Ion and Eneloop batteries for everything from the TV remote to my Xbox controllers. The Li-Ions last for such a long time, the Eneloops are more affordable than replacement internal batteries, and both charge overnight. I really wish more controllers allowed me to use them.

This is the perfect video for anyone who is feeling overwhelmed by the all the different Xbox accessories that are out there. You've done a great job of breaking things down and making them easy to understand. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who is looking for some guidance on how to spend their money.

I still use my Xbox 360 controller I bought like 12 years ago for my PC. Doubt it would be anywhere near as usable, if it has a 12 year old rechargeable battery in it.

4:15 12 000 000 000 000 B (12TB if we consider 1KB being 1000B, 1MB being 1000KB and so on, which is the standard notation for storage devices such as hard drives, memory cards and USB flash drives). The computer (or XBOX in this case), however, uses base 1024 which means that 1KB is 1024B, 1MB is 1024KB and so on, therefore 12 000 000 000 000B is approximately equal to 10.9*1024^4B which is the reason for 10.9TB showing up on the screen

For anyone curious, hard drives are measured in terabytes by manufacturers, but in tebibytes by computers. A terabyte is 1000 gigabytes while a tebibyte is 1024 gibibytes. 12 terabytes is ~10.9 tebibytes :)

Hey, you should probably mention that there is a difference between the 1tb and the 12tb drives. You can play older gen xbox games only on the 12tb drive and xbox series s/x game on the 1tb expansion drive. One is an HDD and the other an SSD. not everyone knows the difference.
  • 0:39 On the bright side, the battery's easy to replace on the Xbox controller when it needs replacement - unlike the DualSense.

0:25 - I don't understand why people want built in batteries. 1. when the battery dies your controller is worthless. 2. If the battery dies when your playing a game you can't just swap out the battery quickly. Now you have to plug it in and sit on the floor next to your tv cause those short cables aren't reaching your couch. screw built in batteries.

4:31 . The box always says in terabytes unit. But most of our devices use tebibytes unit. 12 TB = 10.91 tebibytes

An Austin video makes it a perfect sunday!
  • @SanderEvers
well the pro of the rechargeable battery packs is that you can really easily replace them. Something you can't do on Playstation controllers.

Would be great to see you do a proper serious deep dive into the Xbox Adaptive Controller and perhaps adaptive gaming in general 👍

Its been a second since I've watched your channel again and got to say, I know something has changed be it format, presentation, quality has always been there, but something that just feels more grounded and the jokes are landing really good lol Love this newer version and hopefully we get to see more of this mellow-fun Austin. Cheers Oh and as for the cloud gaming, I highly recommend the GeForce Experience, its literally night and day difference. I bought the annual pass since I knew that the free hour pass was gonna get old real quick and glad I did. I honestly can say its like a 1-to-1 experience in terms of you feeling like you have the actual console in your living room. Its the first time out of the few cloud gaming services that I've tried that has convinced me that its definitely worth it and do indeed have the tech in order to make it happen. Definitely a 4.5 out of 5, the only downside if you can see any is the array of games it has is vast but still missing the lesser known games that usually aren't the big talker in gaming channels.

I miss the old 360 aa battery pack. Designed to quick swap. Preload batteries and swap on the fly. The rechargeable packs for 360 were notoriously unreliable though.
  • @Killertamagotchi
The fact that the memory on disks in the operating system is always less than stated on the packaging has something to do with the calculation. The manufacturers calculate in GigaBytes 1GigaByte = 1000 Megabytes etc. But the PC calculates with GiBiBytes 1 GiBiBytes = 1024 MiBiBytes PCs calculate binary not decimal as an example 12TB = 12000GB x 0.9765625 = 11,718.75 GiBiByte : 1024 = 11.44TiBiByte

The Xbox Offical headset is really nice! Yet I upgraded to the Steelseries Acrtica Nova Pro Wireless when it came out! Love both of them.❤
