One Hour of @FuturamaKing's Toughest Challenges on FSD 12.5

2024-07-27に共有
I meet up with my buddy @FuturamaKing and had him show me all his most challenging spots that he had issues with on FSD 12.3.6. FSD 12.5 handled every single previous issue perfectly.

Guys these streets are like dead empty. We need to see FSD in cities like NYC or Toronto during rush hour where driving is a shit show of pedestrians, transit, delivery drivers and cyclists with all kinds of rules being broken everywhere.
  • @gladeous4161
You could make this into a game show like Cash Cab where the contestants can win cash if they can find a route that can trip FSD up.

I have 12.5 on my Model Y and EVERY repeatable issue I had with 12.3.6 in my area is fixed except for one map issue near my house. It’s so good. Sometimes it drives too slow but I won’t complain about that. I just press the accelerator if I want to go faster.

IM loving some FSD 12.5. It just keeps getting better guys. The best part is during in merging in and out of tight spots in heavy traffic. Its wayyyyy better than i could do.. IM really excited, I really do think we are starting to see some exponential achievement with each is release. City driving in Dallas and Ft. Worth is doing very well. It still needs to get the service roads to yield to the off ramps better. I think this must unique to TX roads...
  • I have one word - SNOW. I'd love to see all of this hype in the winter months (I'm still on FSD 12.4.3)
  • I love Futurama and putting a name to a shoe. 12.5 looks to be ready to make your drive effortless
  • @mkkkai
whoa 6:55 - loved how it rolled into the intersection, light turned yellow and it just went without a hitch

I have 12.5 and it is much better than 12.3.6 and 12.3.6 was pretty fantastic. I do have some small issues: 1. FSD tends to like to hang out in the outside lane (ie a road with two lanes in each direction). Gets awkward bc it doesn’t speed up or try to pass anyone. Of course, most cars in the outside lane are they to go faster and pass cars. 2. It occasionally picks the wrong lane. This may be a map issue? Overall, however, everything you’ve heard about 12.5 is true. It feels like a highly competent driver. Sooner or later the vast improvement in FSD and the much faster improvement curve is going to show up in the stock price…those analysts that think TSLA is dead money for a year or two are going to have egg on their face.

Nice coop! More people should try this idea. And maybe it is a fine idea for a game from Tesla when they are ready to go with next free month. You get an extra free day of FSD if you find a unique spot you have to disengage at.

Nice! looking good guys....kudos to the Tesla Team....
  • This is the first time I have seen an FSD video where the driver and passenger were crossing their legs and chilling.

Holy Shit, 5mph offramp at 50:40! Look at that on ramp! Classic conversation. "You wanna try this one, NO!"
  • @red878787
Some of the hardest onramps in Los Angeles and it breezed through them. 🎉
  • @mkkkai
10:40 changing the destination on the fly like that is pretty good way to test fsd in weird scenarios. it proves that it can quickly evaluate the current scenario and safely make a quick decisions. as humans, how often do you see someone realize they need to get over to an exit and just quickly cut across in a super dangerous way.

wow cant wait to see where we are in 1 year. Let alone 2-3 years when batches of Robotaxis will be ready!
  • According to James Douma, the optimization that the Tesla engineers do is a form of compression, which implies that there is no loss in data, the data set isn’t smaller, they optimize the parameters to be more efficient in order to run on Hardware 3. This is done whenever they approach a processing limit. James indicated that there is a lot more optimization that can be done if necessary. Because optimization is a time consuming process, they tend to optimize only when necessary. This is why Elon is confident that FSD unsupervised (Level 4 or 5 autonomy) will have no problems running on Hardware 3.

Honestly Ive had my doubts but I believe more and more this will be our future very soon. This video is convincing me to sell all my assets and put into Tesla lol
  • @WholeMars it was interesting your comment about geo-fencing. It would be interesting to see what FSD would do if someone took it down to Mexico.
