My husband and I are in our mid 70's and are renovating our old house. We take longer to get things done, but we do get things done. I don't drink or smoke, but thank God for my prescription drugs that make it possible for me to help my husband in this endeavor. I also get accupuncture because I suffer from really bad fibromyalgia. The veranda looks lovely. Now you have a beautiful view after your hard work cutting down the bay tree. I, too, have a stack of magazines I want to read. Bless John Nettles for doing that work. I do like his acting in Midsummer Murders. I think I've seen all of the episodes multiple times. Enjoy.

Good morning Colette, verandas are a great extension to the home I am 73 wake early mornings have been a Vegan / Plant based for 60 years , no,prescription drugs, alternatives have always been my choice, We have a very experienced Herbal practitioner in our Village. My gardens are my way of life I'm very much an earthy being my roots go deep. My Irish paternal Grand mother had Romany ancestry and I have inherited her love for the natural world ,music and dance, also Roaming, coastal or inland there is beauty everywhere. You are so lovely Colette, I love that you told us you fancy John Nettles! He sounds like a really kind man, as anyone that helps our wonderful animals is great in my books. I only liked Mid Summer Murders when John was in them. I love the sound that Patsy made having her drink - my rescue greyhound Madge slops away when she drinks, and I have to have a mat nearby to soak up the aftermath, and love the sound of her drinking too. You sound so energized and full of life - watched tv yesterday, and on The One Show there was a wonderful lady, who was celebrating her 104th Birthday, and she was like a 70 year old I would say - just amazing to reach that age! Hi Collette👋🏻👋🏻 Off subject….. your shorter haircut is just adorable. I am a hairdresser from way back in the day and this is so youthful and playful for your features. It just lifts you up up up! I think I recall you wanting to go grey and that will be delightful as well. Either way….. it will be a good look. In fact the grey will be pretty too, with some nice lip color and an eye color. If you don’t like it…. You can always color again. But I think you will. I have very short pixie hair in my 70’s and love a head scarf look. Try it and see. Wrap it like a bandana around the head and tie in the back. Anyhoo… ya look so cute and I just wanted you to know.

I feel much the same of processed foods- my husband and I feel so much better when we consume our own garden grown fare- I only eat a small bit of chicken and salmon and my husband grills a steak now and again - I tend an herb garden and my husband tends the veggie garden- We are both in our mid sixties now with me a retired cardiac nurse and my John has his own business as a garage door and construction contractor - We’ve been blessed truly- with a few hard losses as we’ve journeyed this life together for over 30 years- I so have enjoyed watching your vlogs from here in Indiana- your gardens and outcroppings are indeed beautiful 🌿 My Grandfather is from England and my grandmother from Canada- My Father’s ancestry is Irish and Native American- my husband’s ancestry is Belgium/French, but we make it all work - you’re a joy and beloved YouTube gal- love your vlogs that you share with the rest of the globe- All the best to you, friend

Oh! Midsomer Murders saved me. I was very sick for a few years. There may be a few years worth of episodes. I went through nearly all(except the most recent). Agatha Christie and Midsomer shows are the only ones where I could not guess the killer. The writing and acting are so good. Most people Ive ever talked about it look blankly back at me. Thanks for bringing him up! Who knows, didnt your neighbors get donkeys? Maybe there will be a reason for him to meander up you garden path. ; )

Age is just a number. I am 68 and still put in 12 hours a day as a college teacher. If you are blessed with health and maintain it well, you can just keep going.
