The reason the baby gets higher melee, is because of the bonus they get to melee based on taming effectiveness. A baby is treated as getting 100% effectiveness (without increasing levels) while the parents are whatever they tamed at.

The "rounding up" is caused by the reduced bonus from imperfect taming. Babies get the same bonus as a 100% effectiveness tame, so that's why they get higher than what the parents have, even when the parents are kibble tamed (which is still usually only like 99% effectiveness).

15:59 I thought you're going to see this but you probably or may have not noticed it. But the valley with the clouds that are forming like a river are gorgeous around you. If you watch back to this specific section you can see there's like a river of just clouds between the valleys. That in itself is just mind-blowingly gorgeous

For the Fasalo - if you haven't already gone for it - I really, really, really, recommend scouting out the salt deposits in the dunes ahead of time and marking them, as you've already experienced the pain first hand of settling for rocks. It won't completely stop the jank moments of getting kicked off (because of course not) but it'll cut down on them enough to prevent an aneurysm.
