If anyone is wondering why acne takes place a lot in adolescence, it is because of secretion of androgen hormone which increases sebum production

and that's why the best treatments for acne are just regularly washing your face with good cleansers, exfoliating once or twice a week and moisturizers suited for your skin type (not just any cream, for me i could only ever use gel ones. others were wayyy too oily) and you need to moisturize your skin, even if your skin type is oily because the reason it's oily in the first place is because your body overproduces oil and tries to moisturize your skin. that's why just using drying products never EVER works to try and combat oily skin, it's just gonna produce even more oil to compensate, which in turn creates acne. proper moisturization helps regulate the oil production over time. and only if it gets bad enough, only then you should go in with medicine.

I had Acne as a teen. Puberty was rough.

I use something called stridex, all I know is that’s what it’s called and the box is red, it helps a lot and if I have any sort of acne, I use it for a few days and it’s mostly gone
